Don't really rate him but his performances this year deserver another look in a better side next year.

Doesn't say a lot about our other half back options though.

Meh. Ashby should of been the one to step up this year but he was s**t. Dea stepped up and performed very well. Dea's more than handy depth next year and young enough still to play alot of footy. Plus he weighs more than 80kgs

Considering what he was contending with this year, Dea did more than adequately, in fact he did very well in the circumstances.

Not every player can be a star.

Completely logical decision to keep him on.

They interviewed Rob Kerr for Dea's season review, thought it was more interesting than they usually are:

“The recruiting team was always quite positive about Matt and even considered taking him through the rookie draft last year.

“Through difficult circumstances we had the opportunity to watch him up close, train and his approach was really professional.”

“He’s a tough player and really well respected by his teammates,” Kerr said.

“At the start of the year when we were trying to work out what the team would look like there was a strong push from players that Matt be selected in the 22 at the start of the season.

“Over the course of the season the coaches felt his disposal and decision making improved and they’ve seen enough to think he’s got a lot to offer down the track.”

They posted season reviews for both Kelly and Dea right after the 'back in' announcement.

That's the biggest roundabout in history, mate.

Howlett wasn't strictly ND. Rookie draft.

Semantics...It's the same intake.

We haven't been able to retain all of them but it's actually a fair old draft. Melksham, Carlisle, Colyer, Howlett, Hardingham, Crameri.
