I think the Dogs will choose Henderson/Rance over McEvoy.

He's basically the same as G. Ablett Jr. He will need to work on his fitness if he wants to become a permanent midfielder.

Masten is sounding like a godo pick to me at the moment. Is he injured with osteitus though? Might eb a bit of a deterence. But from the write ups he sounds alot like Brock McLean.

Can I put forward a scenario.

Say Richmond do take Cotchin at #2. Will WEST Coast take Morton at 3? Wasn't their some falling out between Mortn's father and the egales which saw his son traded to richmond? Now Richmond probably have some sought of agreement going with the Coasters about taking morton at 2 but hypothetically would the eagles pass on Morton at 3?

Rioli might turn out to be the star of this year's draft. Has the run and chase of Alywyn Davey mixed with the silky skills of Shawn Burgoyne. I think we would be mad to bypass him with our 14th pick. Besides the key position players in this draft are not as elite as the one's from last year's draft.

Rioli won't make it to 14. He'll be very, very good. If you want a quick mid he's your man.

I think we should take Rioli with our fourth pick. It is a sacrifice worth making. He just ticks all the right boxes. He has that injection of speed, flair and class that our midfield is lacking. His tackling is second to none. (Look what Alwyn Davey did for Essendon before he got injured) I also don't think we would be bypassing any out and out champions in Ebert, Masten and Palmer. Ebert I think will be a gun, but his pace is lacking and our midfield has been criticised for being a little one-paced already. Furthermore, Rioli went to Scotch College so he has already made a home for himself in Melbourne, and will not get homesick. Whereas Masten, Palmer have strong connections luring them back west. Our list is full of too many honest toilers with no talent. We need more Aaron Daveys. Cyril Rioli is our man!

Morton already has 2 brothers playing in Victoria so I doubt there would be much of a go home factor

I read somewhere previously on the Coasters board bout how the Morton father was involved in an argument with their club. Im not exactly sure on what it was but the consensus was that West Coast would be reluctant to take Cale especially after Mith getting traded this year.
