What an awesome game. His hard assed tackling is a delight to watch. Super stiff to give away the free that lead to Jones goal.

Absolutely pantsed a bloke that can kill you with a free reign.

It wasn't a free. Jones actually drove his head forward and the maggot fell for it. Anyway he towled up Jones, end of story.

The funny thing is we were average today, but without maggot assistance we would have flogged the GoDees by 10 plus goals today.

Bloody good decision to go with jones, pre match I would have said Vince would be the one to lock down but we went head to head and limited both.

Props to coaching staff and Bennys endeavour

A real credit to himself in how he has carved out this role for himself.... a fantastic contribution to the team this year

found a spot made it his own.

He is adding value to the team through defensive stopping.

Will be a very slow burn, if he can continue to add this value, once he is a mature footballer (say about 26 in 3 years time) he will have put the "melts under pressure" to bed and will be a weapon going the other way.

That's what I'm hoping for. I still think he has many of the right attributes a big kick and can be accurate. His hands are reasonably keen and while not a jet he seems to have a much greater natural athleticism than a few of our contested mids. If he can get over some of the poor decisions and keep doing what he does he may just be a "glue" player. Makes the whole thing gel better.

Always backed him in. Clearly was low in self confidence on the field. He's starting to believe now and I noticed his offensive side is developing too. That gut run to fullforward to take the mark from Garners kick was fantastic. Good mark and conversion too.

Hands are reasonably keen or reasonably clean?

The impressive thing about BJ is that he has been so effective with the tagging role without getting into that grey area of the niggle, jumper grabbing, holding stuff that Creepy Crowley or Picken were famous for. And the fact that his possession count is usually pretty close to his opponent suggests he has found a good balance between the defensive and ball winning side to his game. Did enjoy his grab and goal right in front of us in the first quarter.

One touch Jones had was purely through Viney's awesome hands out of a stoppage.

BJ was right on Jones' hammer, picked the wrong side and got caught behind Viney as he was being tackled. It took some really sharp hands and a physical roadblock to stop BJ sticking to Jones.

Agree with others that the increased physicality is a really pleasing part of his game. He has gone from one of our 20-25th best to being in our top 12-15 players.

Most improved player for 2015 easily imo.

He's become a very important part of our side, no surprise that our 5 game win streak is coinciding with Benny's new found role and form. Keep it up champ and we might just make some noise come September.
