Although I was disappointed Luke Delaney decided to jump ship, I think being out of big brother's shadow will work in Cam's favor. All of his AFL games have been impressive, with the only obvious obstacle being his inexperience and physical immaturity. But he has also always been junior to Keys, the Spare Keys nickname reinforcing that. The interesting thing will be whether he can push into the 1sts on form to claim a spot or will just have to wait for injury or suspension to Scotty T, Lachie, or Grima.
I wasn't. I watched the Collingwood North game again over the weekend, and he was putrid.

Haters gotta hate....meaningless game that had ZERO defensive pressure ANYWHERE on the ground.
That's just not true. I watched the game again myself and there was plenty of defensive pressure. Maybe not as much as a final but both sides were definitely having a crack. And yes Delaney was average so was Firrito before half time.

Yeah, it is being made out to be a training drill. Both teams were putting in. The 'we weren't trying' line from the pies was utter horseshit.

Man that was annoying. Take a look at the team we had on the park and it makes the win even better. Don't think we'll have to worry about playing the pies anymore.

Hey it's a pity they forgot to try the next week too.

No & Yes. I never said the teams were not having a crack, just that it was as free-flowing and defenceless as it gets, and the last game of the year, and Luke already had calls from the Saints.

Add it all up and to derive any kind of meaning out of it or judge a player on it is complete nonsense.

I find it ironic that you bag Hansen and rate Delaney. You are either the worst judge of football talent on big footy or the second best troll.

I always thought a lot higher of Luke than most on here...

But his brother Cam will be a significantly better player in the long run.
Agree. I think he will play a useful, if limited, role for the Saints.

Cam may be better, but they are different players in any case. I think those getting stuck into him are off the mark.

I think he will be handy for the Saints. But I don't think he was ever going to take game time off Thompson, Grima or Hansen (hence why he chose to move)

Oh, yep, don't get me wrong....was not going to replace those three (hence I wish him the best at the Saints). He is no star, but posts since he left about how poor he is are a bit harsh I reckon.

Yeah but that's always the way when a player leaves a club. Look at all the Hawks supporters claiming Buddy is a washed up HFF!

One has nothing to do with the other.

I've bagged Hansen 'in the past' because he totally deserved it! Up until this year he was totally under-performing and nearly a waste of space, hence nearly letting him go at end of 2012. In 2013 he finally showed some really good signs and 'just maybe' he wont turn out to be a wasted no.3 draft pick after all.

It will be interesting to see if he gets away with the 'loose man' status as much as he did in 2014, but he did improve a lot no doubt about that.

I rate Luke Delaney as a 'fullback' but with Thompson there he was never going to get the main job. Apples and Oranges my son.

Tried his guts out when he came on.

That goal meant a lot to him.

Needs to build on this. If JZ is fit unfortunately it may be BJ to make way.
