Depends!There are a only a few on this board that have absolutely no time for Ellis. Some criticise him for the occasional lack of 100% commitment, some recognise and accept that is human nature and that that is the nature of some footballers. But most here recognise that he is a good footballer who does most things to a reasonable level, after all he has played 170+ games. Some like me think that there will be a line of players queuing for his position next year, a few of them with pretty high upsides, and that he will be in stiff competition for a game next year. We are after all one of the best teams in the league. There are others like you he see him as a wonderful player.
But the main premise of this thread now is do you pay 'overs' for him over a 3 year contract. Even you might concede that he might do better going to a team where he will get paid what he is worth and be played every week without the pressure that he is possibly feeling.
