Can we just drop him and force him to earn his way back into the senior team? He's not a Cotchin, Dusty, Jack or Rance you know when those four have a bad game they'll come out and have a blinder the next week.
With BEllis he just keeps having bad week after bad week.

Trade bait at the end of the year. Don't care what his stat sheet looks like, he is a terrible one on one player. If you are trying to build a list that will stand up to pressure style finals footy Ellis is not your man.

We might get something for him maybe including him with one of our first rounders to nab a higher pick Test the waters with with GC or Brisbane. If that fails then a late 2nd early third I'd do.
Don't like him playing in defence.
Can't see him as an inside mid, nor as a wing or HFF at the moment, although his last-minute goal against Freo wasn't too shabby.
Maybe as a reserve wing or HFF.
Your idea best. Make him earn it.

Lad is an elite runner yeah? Maybe we should play him as a tagger? Could have gone with Brad Hill last week, Kelly last night. If he can't win his own ball maybe he should be dedicated to ensuring others don't..

I actually like this. He's supposed to be one of our best runners, tagging may be a good option for him.

Development hit a brick wall 3 years ago...not expecting a stint in the VFL to change anything, this is as good as it gets for Brando, so do we want him in the list or not?

Agree. It appears from the surface he has been living off his AA squad selection AND limited better options for the coaches to select.
People keep asking for him to play on the wing but he was against Freo - he was on Pearce virtually all game, starting each bounce on the Wing. Positional placement does get confusing these days with decoys and the whole team flooding to the back half. In Freo game it wasn't obvious on the box that he ran much at all, mainly due to his positioning with Pearce, and when he did push forward hard, Pearce got him on the rebound partly due to our team's ineptness at locking it in.
Bellis appeared to have another similar game yesterday, though haven't watched it with remote in hand yet to catch is movement patterns.

He's not smart enough as he cannot read the game and moves to wrong spots and then falls over when he gets a slight bit of contact. His other issue like Houli is he can't kick both feet so you close his LS down and his disposal drops off. Too easy to shut these guys down as they have a small bag of tricks.

Because Greenwood is fast?
We won't play him as a tagger, his best position is on the wing and he plays it fairly well most of the time.

unless he is near an opponent, under pressure or has the ball.... a part from that he is good on the wing

Levi was top 10, 7th in fact in the repeat sprint test which is essential for a tagger at U18 level, Brandon didn't make the top 10 in a compromised draft without the U17 kids participating.
I'd suggest Levi is quicker than Brandon

He will be close to it as Conca was on $400 plus until Balme got to his contract. Put it this way Lennon got us for around $400k so Brando's on a good wicket. We were discussing all this at Coburg on Sat as we watched all the Afl names on the Essendon list and the numbers people were saying for Bellchambers and co were frightening. Even First year boys can get near to 200k with all the incentives .
