Very North Melbourne of us to break him. But we did tonight.

He hesitates to make the bad kick, but tries to make it because it's the best option of the lot. When it doesn't work, we blame him.

Blame every dumbass footballer in this team that makes shit leads or don't lead at all. I wasn't pleased with his performance overall (lots of the players were down tonight) but we ****ing make it difficult for this bloke to make his acquisition worthwhile.

LEAD PROPERLY AND DANIEL WON'T NEED TO SECOND GUESS.

There were Sydney players leading for their teammates tonight before they even won the ball. We don't even lead when we have it in hand. Need to face the fact that we simply don't have enough players between the arcs willing to run (tall or mid sized). It needs to become a droppable offence to not run unless you are literally throwing up.

His teammates refusing to move doesn't help at all, but what I hate is the lack of punch, excuse the mixed metaphor, in his kicks. When Aaron Hall got into trouble, he ****ing thunder-campaignered it out of there. Often it came back with interest, but you at least felt that he'd made something of a godawful situation and given the defence a bit of time to reset. Caleb gets into trouble, and if he gets good enough purchase on the kick, might make 40m. It's not a great insurance policy. Right now I'm more willing to be hurt by Zac Fisher's one-sidedness than Daniel's lack of penetration

Wouldn't be a thread without Zondor and Scotty acting like they are the only people watching that have cottoned onto North being a shit team.
Ask yourself why does Zondor post the way he does? Can you see the truth that is staring you in the face? :stern look

Everyone knows we are poor and have been for half a decade plus. Pointing that out isn't insightful.

Not sure we broke him, he hasn't been capable in this role for a couple of years now. This is why the dogs played him elsewhere last year and were so keen to offload him.

Yeah you guys haven't done anything this is what he was and why we were so stunned to get pick 25 for him,

He is a liability defensively and his kick has no punch to break the newer zones

Yeah, many of us were also stunned. It seemed like our recruitment team actually hadn't watched him play in the previous two years. You guys preferring Lachie Bramble to Caleb should have been a pretty big clue that he wasn't going to add much.

Stunned that the limitations that saw him fall out of the Dogs' best 22 are still there
Hard to believe!
In isolation getting Daniel would be ok, it's the price we paid, and the disaster of list management that decision created that is the issue. I'm sure roos_fanatic08 agrees!

I don’t mind Daniel, but some of his turnovers are completely destroying us.

I just hate what we coughed up for him. When all the ducks line up it’s likely that he cost us a top 5 pick.

You're unlikely to see a club pay as much as we did for a player of Daniel's age that sat outside the starting 18 for as long as he did in 2024. If we could trade with ourselves we'd probably get a second rounder back for Fisher at the end of the year.

It bemuses me that the trade was defended then as it was awful from the jump, horrible by the time we chose to trade for Mattlock and is approaching being an all-time list management blunder now we're seeing Daniel play.
