In 2 yrs
mckay larks CZ jy stepho 25
Taylor Scott TT LDU 23
powell Phillips Lazarro Ford Mahoney 21
horne pick 20 edwards

we just have to draft really really well
experiment in 2022 as someone says , why not try McKay as a forward, I could see Curtis playing back
i will say again I like X, we have talent ,we need guts too

a lot of pluses this year

The AFL side is not for 'experimentation'.

You pick your best side each week and go out to win.

You have said this quite often
but It is less than clear what you mean
is the ‘best team’ v GWS the same as v Adl?
does the ‘best team, include Powell and Phillips or Ford
do we keep playing Atu and Bonar

‘There are more things in heaven and earth, TPA / Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.’

You play the side that you think will give you the best chance of winning.

Simply playing players in different spots at senior level to see what they may or may not have is ludicrous.

I could see this guy ending up as a backman in the Sicily/Easton Wood type role once he puts on a bit more size. He’s got the marking ability for it and his vision and kicking further up the field has always been sneaky impressive.

The forward line just seems to be bursting at the seams with options so something has to give.

Has there been any IG or anything of Curtis doing extra seasons like many others? That’d be great to see

Wonder if we overcomplicated things here. I still a potentially very good mark-set shot medium forward. His junior highlights were all in that space.

It'd be a nice boost if he as a lot more to his game in the long term, I'm not quite seeing it.

Wouldn't mind him staying in the forward 50 as a mobile pseudo tall while other medium forwards in Zurhaar and Ford are the ones given the license to roam as they hit packs around the ground with a lot more gusto.

Literally came on to post exactly this.

I agree that he has some traits that could make him a decent defender but I think he's far too creative with the footy and tries too many high risk/high reward kicks for someone playing in that role -- partly because turnovers are far more costly down there but also his creative ball use is really useful forward of centre.

I thought his second half of the year was excellent when he spent a bit more time on the wing and managed to get the ball more. I'm a huge fan of his and think he's tracking really well atm.

No doubt he has some x factor.
Can we play both curtis and ford in the same forward line though?
We can if it is just them two. When you add TT and Zurhaar to that mix who are clearly both ahead of Curtis and Ford, then no I don't think we can.

its a lot of players who'll be doing multiple roles on field.
