Get the reco, if that's what is necessary, and the bust arse recovering.

He's 25-26. He's got the rest of his career to worry about. From the clubs perspective its not like were in contention or that our hopes hang on Smith.

It is a tough decision for him personally, these surgery now or later ones always are.if it's easy he needed the reco 2 years ago and didn't get it.
There is a reason he has been playing without a PCL

Just get it done. Without him at full power we aren’t getting our pressure back. Get another in the mid season draft and hopefully unearth a best 22 player.

It's the right decision. As much as I'd like to have him out there his output hasn't been great this year so get him right and allow him to return next season and hopefully get back to that 2018 form.
