I just want to see him get more time on ball. He averaged 19 disposals, 4 marks and 3 clearances per game last year. If he can bump that up to 20+, 5 marks and 4 clearances, which is not unrealistic, that'd put him in the same company as Bailey Smith, Sheezel, Holmes, Bont and Dunkley. Pretty handy company.

I'd much prefer he play ahead of Prestia from now on.

Hes always had another level he could go to. Reckon he's had to plug too many holes all over the ground to settle into mastering one.

What's Ross going to teach the young players?

How to survive on an AFL list as a fringe dwelling turnover king.

Vlaustin is a better leader than all of the leadership group.

FMD - Short, Broad and Ross are unlikely to be best 23 players at times this year.

He's a good kick though?

Hi Sash friends, asking for Supercoach reasons. Ross looked great against Essendon in the match sim. Any chance he's a full time mid this year? He's competing for a spot with Prestia right?
Personally, I wouldn't bother with him. You can do a lot better at his price.

I can't see it. I think he'll be lucky to keep his spot in the team. Don't understand how he's part of the leadership group other than he's now one of our older players.
Agree, think he’ll struggle long term to keep his spot. When you look at his game doesn’t have a lot of hurt factor.
But this year, we’ve got a young developing midfield, who have all had injury concerns. You need guys like Ross that have 5 preseasons in their legs to do the grunt work.
It’s where our list is at right now, until the kids are ready to become full time AFL mids, he has a role.

He lead the team in inside 50's and goal assists despite being asked to be a tagger multiple times last season. Not sure what you consider hurt factor lol

And looks like going to another level this year if his pre season is any indication.

Maybe I’m a bit harsh on Ross, you’re right re him playing defensive roles last season. He’s a team first player, no doubt best 24 atm. This is where our list is in relation to depth of talent in the mid 20s age range
Having said that Im not onboard with some of the preseason hype coming out about him. I read an article the other day nominating one player from each club likely to have a breakout year. Nominations included Jagga Smith, Lombard, Kako etc and our nomination was Jack Ross 🙄
No offence to Jack, but he’s had multiple good preseasons, he’s one of our hardest trainers, but I can’t see him elevating himself to the heady heights that some are suggesting.

Jagga Smith playing in the midfield off a Acl, Langford midfield, lalor and hotton are gonna be
Catching a cold in the forward line , while we we get destroyed in the midfield,
