JJ, Grundy & Errol all great again & love ya guts Gus! Buller making a good case for continued selection.

BC, please get some kicking lessons from your ol mate Errol this week !
Errol was poor, big turnover by foot in the middle led to a Saints goal. Not sure he should be giving lessons at the moment.

I hate how much I love this football side

****ing hate the sport
Look on the bright side, things could always be worse.

Ie, you could be a Carlton supporter. :)

(I speak with the unique perspective of strongly supporting both clubs!).

very worried about McCartin. Didn’t look to be the heaviest contact and he seemed like he was out cold midair
It's how he responds in the next couple of days has had delayed reactions before. He didn't look good coming off and even if he avoids the concussion could be a fracture.

We do need to start talking about your guy though. Admittedly he is my guy too.

Mills? yep i hate to say but Punts may be right even in the last the crowd knew mills had to go get the ball and he waits for it to dribble out and it wasn't going out and they got it

lots of lazy efforts it's one game but wow if that's his captaincy maybe focus on footy

Hayward was absolutely massive when it counted

The Campbell assist to Hayward was absolutely genius
Done some lovely work in the goal assist dept this year has young Campbell.

Did you misread my post. Thr whingeing was clearly heard calling for free kicks to go for St Kilda. It was also incredibly loud from our supporter base and much louder. I simply stated that when the St Kilda fans shouted for a non existent free kick which I'm guessing the Swans supporters were quieter at that point as they had no reason to be shouting the umpires seemed to hear then and react accordingly. Maybe read the post
That's why it was at best a neutral game for the Swans. I might even venture to believe it was like the North game earlier in the year where it was a home Melbourne game. So no, I didn't misread your post. I felt it was an incredibly low whingeing game compared to 99% of games.

Thats ****ed actually reminded me of the very minimal contact that ended Paddy career
This is ridiculous nonsense. Tom got smashed on the side of his face with a hit that drew blood. Paddy got tackled softly with no visible contact to the head and acted like he got shot. The incidents are absolutely nothing alike.

I only found out recently that he is the son of a bloke who played at my Aussie rules club in Sydney 30 odd years ago.

And I am purportedly our club's historian, somehow this one got past me................ :)

So happy to see Buller and Gus do well. Both played excellent games and were involved in Campbell's run which lead to Wilbur's goal late in the 4th. I noticed Gus still putting in the big ones and was keeping stride with Campbell which is a very positive sign as he has struggled to run out games.

Buller looked very competitive and looks to be improving week on week. This game should give him plenty of confidence moving forward.

How did it take so long for Buller to get a chance when we were screaming for a key forward all season? He's shown a lot in his few games, he makes smart decisions in general play and shows good endeavor for a big man when it hits the ground.

This was a frustrating game but they scrapped over the line in the end, probably should have been a 2 to 3 goal win but the umps wanted it closer. Our slim finals chance hangs on but we can't keep getting out of jail for another 7 weeks. eventually it'll hit us.

Personally being at the game, I felt it was more over umpired all day rather than biased in any teams direction. A lot of decisions made by the non-controlling umpire which showed umpires were in the wrong place all day.

Very frustrating stop start game that played into the Saints hands and forced us to dig deep in the last quarter especially. Hayward really stood up to win the game for us and Grundy and Gulden were important late.

Early call...

Out: McCartin Francis Roberts
In: Rampe Cleary Ladhams Bice (from sub)
Sub: McInerney

Roos have a fairly tall defence (4 talls today, so will play 3 at least), otherwise would have Dattoli instead of Ladhams.

If Rampe doesn't get up, I'd probably play Snell over Francis, but likely we'd just put Aaron back.
