How did it take so long for Buller to get a chance when we were screaming for a key forward all season? He's shown a lot in his few games, he makes smart decisions in general play and shows good endeavor for a big man when it hits the ground.
I wanted him in earlier but he did hurt his chances with inaccuracy.

Personally being at the game, I felt it was more over umpired all day rather than biased in any teams direction. A lot of decisions made by the non-controlling umpire which showed umpires were in the wrong place all day.

Very frustrating stop start game that played into the Saints hands and forced us to dig deep in the last quarter especially. Hayward really stood up to win the game for us and Grundy and Gulden were important late.

Chances are its going to go back to 3 with all the umpire contact happening

I am so proud of Jake Lloyd

Major League Soccer Thank You GIF by NYCFC

When did Jack Riewoldt become the head cheerleader for the Saints? That was excruciating listening to him.
Every game we play and he's commentating, it's like that. Incredible to think he actually gets paid six figures to offer his awful football insights and biases.

Mills? yep i hate to say but Punts may be right even in the last the crowd knew mills had to go get the ball and he waits for it to dribble out and it wasn't going out and they got it

lots of lazy efforts it's one game but wow if that's his captaincy maybe focus on footy
I noticed Mills started in the centre at the start of the 2nd quarter and basically the defence lost its way. Then of course, Mills gets thrown back.

My question is, Cox always talks about how Mills hasn't played in a long time, so how long does it take to know if Mills is properly back to his old self or will this be his ceiling from now on?

This was a frustrating game but they scrapped over the line in the end, probably should have been a 2 to 3 goal win but the umps wanted it closer. Our slim finals chance hangs on but our we can't keep getting out of jail for another 7 weeks. eventually it hit us.
It's what the Swans do. They wait far, far, far, far too late to play a guy and then scream it was development to make themselves look good.
Bought to you by the same club that didn't play Heeney in the midfield for most of his career despite it being obvious he was one, because of "fitness", and then when they do, oh he is an AA midfielder. But yeah, that was clearly because the only factor was because we made him fitter and DEVELOPMENT, not because he was good. Oh, another good one, Callum Mills just needs another pre season for his "fitness" to be at the required level to play midfield, always loved that one. Despite never even putting him there in the seasons he had already played, for even 2 minutes despite him being a clear midfielder....next minute. AA midfielder. Maybe the Swans simply aren't good at this.

If Lloyd kicked straight against the Bulldogs, he'd have kicked 9 goals in the last 3 games.

Obviously we might need a bigger sample size before we go making decisions, but are we in a position attack-wise to be trading him willy nilly?
I am, and always will be a Lloyd only playing forward or out of the team guy. I actually like his forward craft and kicking for goal. CAN'T stand his wing/defensive50 game TBH.

I'd be waiting until he can complete a pre season to completely judge, but I've said before he should probably have a co-Captain at the least. Because it's no good for anyone if your captain is out of form, not fully fit.

I liked him on the wing last year to be fair. It didn't carry over to this year though. But I agree, he's skilful and quality but not a groundbreaker so is best suited to the forward half where he can just contribute neatly and make his possessions count. He's gotta keep it up though. Doesn't count for much if it only lasts for a few weeks.
