Evidence?

Stop drop and roll – you are on fire. My god man it was a throw away line. Don’t have a cry about it.

Of course I don’t have any evidence regarding the matter; it’s just a perception going by my eye site.

But I do know for a fact that the SANFL give at least 5000 free tickets away to every Port Adelaide home game.

When I go to the footy, it is usually using a mates season ticket. I've been about 4 times this year, and I have also asked my mate and he has confirmed...
In our row, in our bay - for every match this year there has been about 12 spare seats, in a row, to our left - EMPTY! Every game this year... PITIFUL!

Now, I wonder - these scanners, i believe they work. I also believe the can record whom enters the ground - eg. Which season tickets are used. SO - How about the crows get on the phone to all these people who have not used season tickets all year - and either tell them - sorry guys you cant renew next year - OR tell them to get their butt or a friends butt to the games!!!

SURELY!!!

It's simple then, don't state it as a fact! :)

Chill out mate, no one except you Port Adelaide fans give a continental about your crowd numbers.

Stop getting so defensive over how piss poor your crowd numbers are, unless what I have actually said is the truth?

It was simply a throw away line.

The club has contacted people in the past that have been no shows to ask them why they don't show etc. They have also sent them little questionaires to fill out to help try and ensure that we get bums on seats.

I believe that Craig mentioned that he and few of the players also got on the phone to say thank you to those that did attend every game last year. They also do things like give away a tv to someone who had their ticket used for every home game and the people that will be on the ground after the game on Saturday night to present guernseys to the players (*waves hi to AC9*) are people that have also had their ticket used for every home game. So they are working hard on incentives to get bums on seats.

hopefully we get close to 50k, the great man deserves it, and if we dont get it this week, I fear we never will.

Really no excuse not to, weather is supposed to be good this w/end, its Saturday night so very hard to find an excuse not to get there, Riccuito's last game at FP......................just go people fill the joint:thumbsu:

I was impressed with the noise last week from the crowd:thumbsu:

First half it was dead quite...or am I going deaf?

I think the only reason we dont get 50K crowds is the Port cat 1 members. Resell their tickets and we would regularly have 49k at least..
Bullseye. And that's why we will never get a full stadium with the current membership arrangements. Also the reason why Port's 35,000 "members" only ever equals a crowd of 20-25,000. The Crows Category 1's don't turn up.

There are actually **** all no-shows. The empty seats in the members are mostly no-cares.

ahhhhhh BLOODY WEST COAST! I hate them so badly, they win when I dont want them to win and they lose when I dont want them to lose.

Why can't they just fold, and bring in East Fremantle...haha

For this night only, we have to barrack for them. Our season just about hangs in the balance here!!

Ok, so maybe when you get a season ticket you expect to be able to keep it as long as you pay each year before a cut-off date.
HOW ABOUT - The club adds a clause to membership stipulating something along the lines of 'you forfeit the right for your season ticket if your ticket is not used...etc.etc.' ???
This could be added to all new season tickets issued...

One other thought is that, our membership ave. age has been said over the years to be rather old. One thinks there are a lot of elderly season ticket holders that don't have internet access etc. to transfer their season tickets @ Bass online?
There are possibly some die-hard oldies that love the club so much they want to keep their ticket but don't have the health to make it to the game??

spare seats might be due to the people that occupy them choosing standing room, or at the bar

Cant believe I'm not going tonight (bloody influenza), but I have been able to pass on two members tickets using the bass email a friend system. Works beautifully. Anyone not going and feeling its too much hassel to organise passing on their ticket should be ashamed, took me all of two minutes online.

Still some people wont. Attendance: 45,000

Official Attendance: 46,507

Not a bad effort :thumbsu:

Excellent attendance, Stiffy. :thumbsu:

The ground only holds 51,500 and when you consider there's about 4000 Cat 1 Port supporters and the game was live against the gate on Foxtel, it was about as good as could ever be hoped for.

i doubt that figure, we couldn't see too many empty seats tonight

could have sworn it was closer to 48 or 49
