I love that he is revelling in being our number 1 forward. He has really grown as a player this year and while he still has a lot to work on, he is one player who should hold his head really high for how he has performed this year. He has had some down games but the way he fights out the game is sensational.

My main critique of him would be that he seems to need time to work into the game rather than being strong from the first bounce. He seems better in the last quarter than the first at times. Another pre season to get a bit more core strength and i think we will see another big improvement next year. Id love to see him at Tom Lynch type weight

He now should not be allowed to relief ruck. He has become too important and plays a lot better when he isn't exhausting himself for 5-10 minutes every quarter. Either make it Drew's job or get Maj into the side. BBB needs to be a permanent forward.

I was sitting on the fence right in front of his mark in the 3rd quarter. He hit that pack with such intent, ferocity, power and courage that the crowd had the oxygen sucked right out of us. I turned to my mate in complete awe at that grab and noted that he'd become elite. It was an elite mark that very few players in the comp could have taken. And then he went back and drilled the goal from 50 on the angle when we needed it most. Lovin' Ben the last month or so and his ability to stand up when the rest of our forward line has become a rabble (apologies Lindsay). His effort can never be questioned even when he's having a quiet-ish day. As a number of people have noted also, once his core strength builds in the next year or so (barring injury) he'll be unstoppable.

The one of a few shining lights out of this cluster****.

If all the bad form and injury has given him a chance to play as a number 1 forward sooner then that's great for him and us.

Others have said it yes he was Brilliant against Port..

He's gone from being the third wheel on our tricycle to the big wheel on our penny farthing quick smart.
Heh, quality analogy.

I get the feeling that NMFC works the same way as the public sector works. The only way to leapfrog a person within the organization is if they retire or die, so you just have to bide your time.

If we're serious about moving forward, the time is now. We can't wait for Drew to retire to allow Benny to step up as the main man. From now on Drew plays the relief ruck role when Majak is not in the team. Give Browny the license to do his thing and be the target like what Brad allowed him to do on the weekend.

Love that we have the odd couple of milestone games tonight. The big moptop with his games tally reaching the number on his guernsey and the little power bank celebrating more than 8 and half times as many games as BBB. They both deserve a win for the milestone.
