Firstly, I come in peace ;)

With Lynch likely to be out for a bit, and Gray being fit in 2 weeks or so - is it worth him playing as a key forward or are there other options?

It seems your backline is harder to break into and he deserves AFL games. You guys no doubt closer to your squad, genuinely keen to hear your thoughts.
He might play forward, but it's probably more likely he replaces Blight down back.

He's in the minority in showing that he can effectively spoil the ball. We'd be more likely to throw one of the others forward IMO

Probably depends how Balta and Blight go over the next couple of weeks. Balta probably plays permenant forward while Lynch and Lefau are out. Gray and Blight are competing for the same spot.

What's your relation to him? Was it you who has asked about him before?

Campbell Gray: Knee, 6-8 weeks

“Campbell Gray’s test didn’t go too well last week and unfortunately it has set him back a little bit,” Serpell said.

“We are looking at him for another six to eight weeks away.”

Stop looking!

Kid has a lot of scope to improve. Athletic, 195cm and long arms.

I don’t think back is going to be the only position we will see Campbell. A smart coach could extract a lot out of his type. Forward/Back swingman…with a couple of pre seasons under his belt you could throw him as a uber athletic ruck.

One clear weakness in CG's game is his tackling technique. This may have been part of the reason he was concussed attempting to tackle in the wildcard VFL game. Would love to see the club put some serious work into this part of his game.

Has only just turned 22, and has had some problems with injury, so should be a lot of upside in his game yet. Without the extra KPP's clogging the system a bit he should get an elevated role in the VFL and when he plays AFL, which should aid his development.

thats some good news.
big preseason incoming and get this guy in the 22.

I thought he’d re-signed 4-5 weeks ago!!
Great closing speed and a big vertical leap. Think he has the athleticism to become a pretty handy AFL defender.
Reported by HS nowhere from club tho , I rate him , looks quite capable of playing back or forward , moves well too
