Apologies if this has already been posted in the last few days but just wanted to give a big congratulations to the club and all the supporters for cracking 54,000 members.

Great effort everybody! :thumbsu:

It is a great effort and well done but whats the F***ing point?

Ok, well there is a point, it clearly makes the club well supported and financially secure and thats great but FFS what does a well supported financially secure club have to get a new stadium.

GEEZZ!!! Subi stadium is a friggin disgrace! Obviously I don't live in Perth and very rarely get to see a game at Subi. F**k me its an embarrassment. We were in the three tier stand (obviously as we aren't members) and I was seriously scared for my safety. That goddamn thing is so old and creaky I fair dinkum thought it was going to be blown over with the wind on Saturday. And god forbid there should ever be a need for an emergency evacuation!

You can't get a beer, or food without walking down three flights of stairs and then lining up for 25 mins. Taking a p!ss means you lose another 10 mins of the game. Seriously, wtf point is there of having 54,000 members when the place can only fit 44,000 and even then in the most ridiculously uncomfortable manner possible.

I haven't really kept abreast of the issues around the Libs' backdown on the new stadium/redevelopment but surely there must be enough of a push from West Coast/Freo to do something... ANYTHING!

Anyone got a billionaire relative who wants to generate a new stadium to a needy city?

But premier-elect Colin Barnett repeated his line yesterday that the new stadium would be reassessed in light of falling revenues and the Nationals’ demand for more money to be spent in the regions.

The tightness of the past election meant deals had to be struck with the Nats which sucked away a lot of funds.

However, Labor were reportedly offering the Nats more so it was unlikely to get built regardless.

I work at a school and one of my kids (he's a good student, doesnt talk shit) told me his grandfather was in the redevelopment team for subiaco oval back in '95. Anyways, this kid said that his grandfather was chosen to re-construct subiaco, which they are discussing this year.

Lol but don't trust me entirely on this source.

Btw I work at Subiaco Primary School, which is pretty dam close to subi oval.

It's not hard to get a seat.

Isn't it?

From reading through some of the posts on here it sounded to me like getting a seat is not that easy. I have to say, the couple of times I've been in Perth during the season I've been able to get tickets to the game (in the three tier stand).

Must say I was a bit disappointed with the turnout against the Hawks but then the weather was pretty atrocious... still, NicNat's debut at Subi I would've thought would bring the crowd in.

Is it correct that members can hand their tix for a particular game back to the club for resale if they know they aren't going to make it (I think they get some value through a voucher to the team store or something like that)? Is there a deadline when they have to nominate this? Coz I would've thought there'd be more non-members out there who'd have picked those tix up if they'd had a chance for the Hawks game.

I've never had an issue getting tickets. That includes finals.

If Labor had pulled thier finger out and started building/redeveloping before the election we wouldnt be having this problem. I doubt Barnett is going to do anything about it, it seems he's not a sports person and doesnt see the point in it.

I'm assuming this is purchasing a ticket right, not a members handout? Do you just ring up on the tix release date and get them? Thats what my mate did when organising tix for last week's game. He got six of 'em!
