Sorry to go OT but has anyone else had trouble listening to SEN online.

Recently I can't seem to connect and any help would be appreciated - very bad footy withdrawal symptoms at the moment.

Works fine for me. All i can suggest is to check the usual suspects: firewalls, anti-virus, internet settings, etc...

I am using 1Radio and all other stations work OK. I have also tried the SEN listen online function on their website and still no luck. If it doesn't work I will be forced into listening to 5AA - heaven help me:mad:

Hmmm, sounds like I was wrong about Rowey. He's a hardcore Crows fan, but if he's prepared to do his job and give the Power the coverage and respect they deserve, then maybe he's worth a listen after all.

If you want to be picky about it Port get more coverage than what they deserve, it sounds as though most 5AA listeners are Crows supporters and bearing in mind the supporter split in SA is about 70-30 then for Port to get 50% coverage on 5AA is rather generous.

Yeah but when you consider the 100% of Crows supporters obsessed with Port Adelaide then the split should really be higher than it currently is.

The army of anti-Port mouthbreathers faxing and ringing in to denounce the 1870/LTC initiative is proof of this.

Try

http://www.1radio.com.au/

click on Melbourne and then the SEN logo. You get access to most commercial and all ABC radio stations in all 6 state capitals and Canberra.

Thanks REH - but that is what I am doing - the SEN logo is there but when I click it, the process of loading goes on but the stream never starts.

I don't seem to have a problem. Try another Melbourne station first and after it connects and you listen for say 15 - 20 seconds, click on the SEN logo and see if that works.

But Mr Rowe did disagree and said it was a Dog of an act, which suprised me actually, seeing he is Crows through and through.

That incident reminded my of Salisbury on Anderson, little prick he was!

Even though we have had our fair share of behind the play players too.

It does appear their slant on 5AA is Graham is going for the Anit Port strong sentiment and Rowe is playing the ball on all topics. Rowe has been ok actually.

We have to remember alot of this stuff would be fabricated to cause controversy and arguements so people fire up and call in. Which puts me off a little these days, I'm more of a purist in sporting chat forum than arguement kind of guy.
Look I think they discuss topics that will bring in an audience, I think they try to generate controversy and I'm sure they have roles that they play in the on air relationship. But allowing for all that their personalities and genuine opinions shine through, as they should otherwise they'd be true phonies. I think when Cornes tries to defend Bickley he's speaking from the heart.

I think Rowe genuinely is less biased than people feared which is a relief. The true test of course will come when there's an injury, an umpiring controversy or a fight during a showdown.

Get back under your rock.

Magnificent :D

From Bucks' book:

There were some anxious moments early on, mostly caused by my first opponent, Glenelg captain Scott Salisbury. I suspect that Salisbury - a great, tough player and an All-Australian in 1987 - was instructed to intimidate me out of the game or, if possible, knock me out. Watching a replay of that Grand Final afterwards I noticed a few times where Salisbury goes flashing across the screen in what looks like attempts to get rid of me. During the game I hadn't realised how close he came to achieving that goal in the first ten minutes. He tired after that - he was in his last season - and having weathered the storm I grew in stature. p. 77

And a guy like Matt Thomas is apparently the biggest thug in this town these days.

And it didn't go unnoticed that Capel yet again named Matty Thomas when discussing the injury to Trent Hentschel's knee. He must have it on autotext in Word. Maybe Matty should patent "Matt Thomas's tackle on Hentschel" and collect some royalties. It would be up there with the Undertaker's Tombstone or Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine's figure four leglock.

Utter dog.

Honestly...if he was a Port player, he'd be thought of the same as Granger....dirty thug, blight on the game etc. Gets away with it because he wore a different jumper. Absolute mongrel of a footballer who spent the last 4 years of his career hitting young blokes off the ball.

Or Travis "Controversially selected ahead of..." Boak.

Capel likes to come up with bullshit doesnt he?

To be fair trents injury was 95% Matty thomas' fault and it was a illegal tackle which is often overlooked. The Boak thing is a bit ridiculous.

No it wasn't. Matty was applying the tackle as Trent was kicking it, both slid with the momentum until Trent's foot got caught in the ground just after kicking it and his knee buckled.

The Bassett tackle was illegal, the Hentschel tackle was fair, but bad luck.

I must have missed the part where Thomas got games for his tackle on Hentschel...

Getting games and being illegal arent the same thing. Just because you do one doesnt mean you get the other.

As far bassett goes, i cant see anything thats illegal, the ruling was you cannot do two actions which he didnt. This season it would of been illegal.

The Hentschel tackle was illegal because he performed it incorrectly and rode him in the back. Momentum is not taken into account its up to player performing the tackle to do it correctly. There was an element of bad luck of course.

Yer, about 95%.

You have funny coloured glasses!

What a load of crap. Honestly if you are going to be so one-eyed in your criticism of a PAFC player then this is not the board to do it in.

No free kick paid, ergo no illegal tackle.

Now here's a bit of friendly advice. This is a topic that has been done to death and we don't need your trolling interpretation of it. Respond further at your own peril.

I have loaded Mozilla as suggested by a few of our esteemed posters and it appears to be better than IE - but when using 1Radio, I can't get any stations to work including 5AA and SEN - so on that score Mozilla doesn't work - any clues?

Yeah ditto. I've tried loading from within IE, Firefox, Opera and pasting stream links directly into WMP and Real, still no dice.

Bear in mind I can stream 5AA, foreign stations and live overseas video without trouble (EWSOP from London, et al), I just can't get SEN or any of the other Victorian stations to work. Bizarro.

I use Firefox and I got SEN streaming audio during the draft.

I've just connected to SEN and am receiving loud and clear took a couple of minutes for buffering to complete.

I have a different problem in that I can't hear youtube audio or dvd audio on my pc and don't know where to change the settings. (I've got Windows XP on that machine). Any advice would be appreciated. I can listen on my laptop.
