the implementation of the DRS this summer has been shocking really.

the idea behind it is is sound. how could they give that one in the second (?) odi out which was mind boggling, and then this one, with a blatant white spot on hot spot, a clear two noises (the way channel nine made it sound is that the third umpire doesn't have sound? that would be stupid if so)... and it's not out

2 things..

1. It looks like he definitely hit it and you know he would know if he did. Just bloody admit to it if you did and get on your bike.

2. Sad state of affairs when you employ a review system to ensure the correct decisions are made and you still aren't sure even after a review...

Farcical.

The problem I think Long had was on the leg side shot there was a spot prior to contact on the back of the bat, with the bat turning with the wrist role Long couldn't be 100% certain that wasn't the same spot when seen from the off side.

I'm proud to say that I eventually saw the mark, apologies.

Definitely out though even if hotspot hadn't picked something up.

WTF is going on with these third umpire decisions? Has been a circus all summer.

So we have had 2 given out this series that you would argue were more inconclusive than that, The one that was the most conclusive of the lot gets given not out. WTF?
