Calm your farm! He has played two games in defence.

I am backing him in!
I back Windsor 100%. I just don't back Goodwin turning one of our only attacking weapons into a small defender, when it's clearly not his go.

I do not see it a problem, so long as he is not being pigeonholed as a rebounding defender for the rest of his career. I don't think it is the best way for him to be utilised.

Long term, I think he should be part of our on-ball rotation. There's just no room for him with current personnel.

But seeing that the club is in a rebuild I think time in defence will be good for his development and help him become a more rounded player. We are not contending for a flag, nor are we trying to fatten our draft hand (this year at least). Any improvement that he can make this year to the defensive side of his game will pay dividends in the future.

He is the new Salem. Came to us as a mid, got put in backline and will stay there the rest of his career.

**** me I would even rather Salem in the guts now over Viney or Oliver.

Not sure if it was noted in the match day thread

Like his Goal in the Third quarter
Receives hand pass from Bowey in Def 50, Kicks to Max continues to run & receives Max's Kick, shrugs a Tackle run to fifty & kicks a Goal

Oh my god this is perfect
Scythe, we had opposing views on Windsor (as we do with Langford lol). Can we have a footy discussion about where Windsor is now at?

Where do you sit or too early to say? For reference, I said that I didn't see star factor with Windsor which is what you gave me flack for. By star I think it's probably multiple AA squads.

I think he'll be a good player in time. He just needs to use his weapons more and break the lines on more occasions.

Yeah, I think we should all shout "Fore!" when Viney or Oliver kick the ball.

Certainly experiencing some second-year blues, but I think a lot of that is a result of him clearly being played out of position.

I'm not capping his potential long term based off a poor half of the year though – think he can still be a very good player in his natural position. Currently robbing him of his strengths and exposing his weaknesses as a small defender.

That being said, his kicking clearly isn't amazing. Doesn't help that he's just panic-kicking out of the backline the majority of the time now, but you can see that he's still OK in that regard when he gets out in space.

You reckon swap Lindsay with Windsor? (i.e. Windsor to wing, Lindsay to HB?). Does he have any scope to play inside mid aka Max Holmes.

This should have what we started with this year. Windsor already showed last year he is very comfortable in traffic and keeps the ball moving. Wouldn't necessarily play him centre square all the time but would swap him there from the wing.

Would 100% make that swap, at least in the immediate future – Lindsay looks like he could be a natural HB general down back, whereas it's clearly not Windsor's go.

Long term though, I'd definitely look at rotating all of Windsor, Langford and Lindsay around the ball – they would each give us a different look in there. Between Pickett, Rivers, Windsor, Langford and Lindsay, we've got a pretty good nucleus to build a dynamic, long-term midfield around.

We have another wingmen Toby Sinemma coming through the ranks who is making team of the week every week at the moment playing for the Stingrays.

I feel we have over invested in wingmen and under invested in forwards. Windsor is just a victim of piss poor list management.

I don't why I'm bothering replying but anyway.

The only thing we have over invested in is a moronic coach who plays people out of their best position. We have two wingers in Langdon and Windsor. We should be playing Lindsay half back and Langford half forward.

I don’t know why you are bothering to reply either, but I totally agree. We have some clearly talented recruits and I hope someone does something about our appalling coaching set up to save them to be developed properly before it’s too late

See Mich0 this is what happens when you bang the desk and over exaggerate everything for **** knows what reason, what you say loses all meaning. Everything is completely wrong or laser

I so think Windsor could be looked at as a bad selection in a couple years. I also think I'm not gonna plant my flag in the ground until he plays in a better role and with a better coach.

The day I see you say I'll wait till the end of the season to make up my mind is a day that doesn't exist
