That blatant high tackle on JHF straight in front of goal (he didn't duck - just winning the footy) was just a blatant miss by these idiot umpires - it nearly cost me a new TV.
Woeful. Incompetent. You name it.
There was one bit of play on the wing in the second where he collected a ball at full tilt off his ankles, steadied and nailed a 45-metre kick that dropped in between two defenders (think it was to Thomas). Just a complete freak of a footballer - he'd already be such a weapon in a good side.

i suppose its a good thing they acted quickly so he knows that sort of crap isnt on not matter how good a player you are. There are standards at the club that need to be met in that regard I would think.
This was unbelievable. But he made it look so easy the commentators didn't even register it. He's good for a couple of these moments a game. That will only grow. Going to be some player.
This was also brilliant. But I think DocSholl was referring to the one where he's on the other wing and he centres it to Thomas in corridor in between like 3 demons

That's the one - thought there was a second defender there but that's just sublime. Shortens the kick at the last second and puts it on a dime.

One thing is for certain.. if he did want to move clubs. Not one other team in the AFL would cheer as hard for one player like north does for JHF. Everytime he goes near the ball the celebrations are louder than a North goal being scored

That would set a league wide precedent that I have absolutely no doubt would be followed by other clubs. I would love that. Instead of some kiddy-graphic-bullshit, we actually have an away guernsey with some story & meaning (for every bloody club).
Why have it for just the ‘one round.’ Eg. Black History Month in North America is just the one month. Many have asked for an even spread of more recognition & all year round - both for that celebration in the USA & here for this round.
Guernseys - Make it half & half. The ‘traditional’ home guernsey & an indigenous ‘away’ guernsey all season. Every season.
Still have a round specifically highlighting the indigenous parts of our game but via the guernsey recognise it weekly.

he didnt try to hack the cover of it as well, the trajectory was like a well controlled 3 wood. lovely pendulum kicking action. and all executed from looking up about 2 seconds earlier and assessing his options.

about this time last year there was a lot of commentry stating JHF was a favorite to go 1st, havnt really heard a lot of names bandied around for any real standout 1st rounders this year.
Picking up another Blight would be delightful.
