Lonergan, Taylor and more recently Henderson have had JD on toast for as long as I can remember him playing.. would be great if he could extract some revenge on Sat..
The Anzac Day game and tonight have been phenomenal, but he's been very good all year. Love the way he carries himself in the field as well. That cheeky smile is infectious.
I mean, it's pretty much gg for the league if he ever sorts that out, can generate shots on goal in so many different ways and everything else is exceptional for a guy his size.
I mentioned in the game Day thread that he has the best 360° spatial awareness of any big bloke I've seen. I'm talking ruck-size big so overlooking Buddy in this. When he side-steps it's not so much his agility as it is his awareness/peripheral vision. I had this ability when I played and it made me a decent jr footballer but I was 170cm tall. Peripheral awareness is the quality of a natural footballer who has footy intuition. To see it in a bloke 200cm tall is seriously impressive.

I felt cheated that we missed the best of Neale and how nicely he would've complimented Gary Foulds off a HBF in 84/85.
But we seem to have the bigger, better version on its way. There have been many talented medium/talls come and go in the Neale Daniher mould but I've never seen anything quite as immense as what Joe possesses. Let's hope he can drive us to success to fulfil the amazing talent.
