Can he have a Jeremy Cameron-esque influence in his second year?

maybe,
It has been a long time since I have seen a young KPF who can clunk a ball as good as Daniher. Boyd, Hogan and Patton are good but still double grab quiet a bit.
35 contested marks in 12 games at VFL, 86 marks in total, 54 shots at goal.
6 contested marks in 5 games at AFL, 27 marks in total and 12 shots at goal.
Daniher's kicking will be what lets him down if anything.

That's my biggest worry too. Getting the ball won't be a problem. I doubt he's going to develop Cameronesque kicking ability in the space of a season though if at all. Cameron is simply a freak.

It is really strange as he is a really good kick to someone on the lead, much like Hurley, but put him in front of the big sticks and he looks pretty bloody bad.

Daniher 29.25
Hogan 39.21

and Hogan is just a ok kick
There is no doubt he needs to work on it, but it isn't panic stations. He will improve - he just needs to get used to the fact he has grown so much that the distance between hand and foot is now so far:p

The problem with Joey's kicking is that he doesn't allow enough for his swing. He should start outside the left hand goal post (when facing) and it will go straight through the middle

Not important
He's 'hurleyesque' in regards to his kicking. Just what we need, another bloke who kicks points at crucial moments. I also concur with the 'Delist' theme.

Considering the conditions in the VFL and his age, I'd say that is a decent conversion rate..
53% in those conditions is equivalent to 60% under the roof
Pretty much. Some of those VFL grounds are diabolical so it really is surprising that he kicked worse in the AFL. I viewed it as nerves rather than poor technique or skill. I'm sure it will be a focus in the pre-season (along with putting on a bit of weight).

I think he has a chance to have a really good season. He has a great ability to find the ball, and I think he finds it easier to get his hands on it in the AFL than in the VFL. Excluding the Hawks game when he was subbed he was generating three scoring opportunities per game, basically the same as Cameron in his first season. Get his accuracy up to 60 per cent and I could see him having a 40 or 50 goal breakout season.
