He might be suffering from a bit of fatigue which may effect his kicking on goal. Accuracy was never a strong point.. but he was an ok shot at goal in the juniors..

I think he is working that hard on the lead etc etc.. that the actual kick on goal is probably effected by the lactic acid and general exhaustion..

I expect it to improve because the overall mechanics of his kicking action are ok, as evidenced by the long goals he slots through.

Exactly... he's more an inconsistent shot at goal, rather than just a poor one. He'll slot one from 50m out close to the boundary line, then later in the game spray a shot from 40m out straight in front. Once he's able to run a full four quarters out against even the biggest opponents, not only will he be getting more opportunities, but those opportunities will be in better positions.

Question for the nerds:

Did Dustin ever get a Rising Star nomination in 1993? Did they even do them or just vote on the overall season of a group of young players they thought were good? Given he displaced a seasoned full back in Anthony Daniher, in a premiership year, taking into account the absolute quality of key forwards that were running around kicking massive bags in the mid-90's, that is some sort of achievement. All whilst wearing a school tie to training.
Are you sure you know what a nerd is?

from the looks of things they have a hidden shots at goal stat used to work out the accuracy %
while for some players goal and behinds work out perfectly (eg. cyril) most seem to have a higher shot count.
it looks like Joe has had 29 shots at goal and Cloke has had 46

You guys have made me think about this way more than I originally intended
