Shouldn't be - has been looking pretty good. Didn't have a great game against Adelaide, but neither did Zaka.

Leave him in, let him play.
Zaka had a near perfect "you're going to tag me? **** you then, I'm going to full forward" game. Only issue was his accuracy in front of the sticks.

It's a pity he's had to carry the burden of the N.O 1 forward, at 20 he's doing a pretty good job leading our goal kicking with 16 11 and has easily taken the most contested marks in the club.

It 'be scary what he could do if he could play second or third fiddle, TBC needs to step up and help Joey out.

Glass half full. At 23, he'll have spent five years learning off the best defenders in the game.

He will be a ****ing animal.

He's going to be just ******* incredible.

He does everything right in terms of positioning, work rate, leading, attack on the footy etc. When he grows into his body, gets his touch spot on and irons out the kicking (massive steps forward already), he will tear the competition apart.

I would be astounded if he finishes his career without multiple Colemans.

JD needs to start using that right foot at training, should have gone with the right for that last shot.
Steve Motlop says 'I disagree'

He also says 'i'm a massive dickhead who celebrates like a massive dickhead', but regardless, the only reason Joe needs a right peg is to prop him up when he bombs them on his left.

He's going to be an absolute colossus once he develops a massive arse so he can hold off plebs like Rivers

Ice running through his veins when the game is on the line too. Going to be a dead set gun sooner rather than later.

I agree but why restrict yourself to being a one-sided player (Scott Lucas) if you don't need to be. He goes on the right with that shot, gets side on and takes one step snaps a certainty.

The one thing that impresses me more than his immense talent is his work rate, doesn't matter if he is getting beaten the kid just keeps presenting and working harder.

His attitude alone will see him "make it" but throw in the talent and pretty soon the body and experience and he is going to have us in raptures for a long time

Spot on... TBc seems unenthused at the moment which makes it pretty hard for Joe... I didn't get how good he was until I saw Joe live... The hype is warranted...

Can someone gif that pickup weave through traffic and hit heppell lace out on the right?

Thank god Luke Darcy wasn't calling it, would have been all 'you can't do that' due to the fact he was a smaller man and moved like a constipated glacier

To revive the old post, I think he has been improving perhaps more pressure by the defense as of late. He does need to get a ball out and practice different shots I believe. However I still see alot of potential already managing some big marks it'd be nice to see that more regularly and some more accuracy but our patience will go along way. I see next year being his big breakout year.

Rumour has it Nick Maxwell will announce his retirement after being informed that his ankle injury will require surgery effectively ending his season.

While I would never wish harm to another player, and wish Nick Maxwell all the best in his future endeavours, congratulations to Joe Daniher and Jake Carlisle for not only ending his career but giving him a pantsing that nightmares are made of.

The only problem is I think Collingwood will be rejoicing as they will actually be able to select a AFL level footballer to replace him.
