Most guys stop growing at 18. Anything after that is so insignificant that it's not even worth measuring (like a mm in 4 years) and this is due to diet alone.

Homo sapiens are different to other apes in that we have one hormonal growth spurt, which happens during puberty. This stops at 18 (disregarding testosterone features such as those that are absent on males like Justin Beiber, etc)

This hormonal boost during puberty is what essentially makes us men and women, as before it we look the same.

*giving the birds and the bees speech
Do you think the body has a little clock that goes 'lol been around the sun 18 times, time to stop growing"?

Some people might stop at 15, some as late as 21 or 22, and it definitely isn't always insignificant.

I haven't grown any taller since the age of 15. And I've only grown about 3cm since turning 13. Footy was easy in Year 7, but got steadily harder from then on...

Having a short arse for a mother (4' 11, I was taller than her by age 11 and a half) has its disadvantages.

Apparently you are tallest in the morning as your spine is at its longest then. You get progressively shorter throughout the day due to gravity. I've heard it can change your height by as much as 3cms...so yep, there ya go.

I was measured at 7pm at night! Yes! I'm finally hitting my growth spurt!

I felt extremely immasculated when I saw Joe Daniher.
I went to school with him for a year, he literally had to bend over a little to fit in the elevator.

I still remember the first day of school, I was sitting at the front of the class. As usual, most people were pretty shy and the class was pretty quiet.
The teacher was calling out the role, and when she said Joe Daniher I thought about it for a quick a second, and turned my head back so quick to see if it was actually Joe, I made an absolute fool of myself.

Not at all believe it or not, haha. He's actually very quiet, always sitting at the back of the class on his iPhone.

Later on during the year he kinda got comfortable, with me at least, and we'd always talk footy and how his preparations are going. Thank god there weren't any other mad Essendon supporters or any supporters really, I wanted him all to myself. (bit homo)

I remember distinctly, last year a few days before we played Carlton. They had just beaten Collingwood and thrashed Brisbane the week before, and they had the whole tag of 'premiership favourites' when he asked me how I think we'd go against them, I told him I reckon it's going to be very hard for us to win. He said, I think you'll be surprised, we'll do better than you think.

I saw him a few days after we'd beaten them, and when I turned around to look at him, he merely grinned. Cheeky little bastard.

So we can hang him from the roof by his ankles before the game if he needs an extra few centimeters for a stint in the ruck?

Keep in mind he marks the ball at its highest point, so I can't see how he could possibly need a few more centimetres.
