Hansen will go no firkin where! He has found his spot in the back half and he will sign a new deal before mid season. He would be extremely stupid to walk out on a team coming up to their premiership window for a bit more cash. I wouldn't even take picks 1 & 2 from GWS for Hansen to be honest.
I think that is stretching a bit, WITHOUT QUESTION we would take a number 1 or 2 pick for him. Remember Hansen was taken at 3 and lets be honest whilst he has improved this season he has in reality been a 2nd or 3rd Round pick based on performance over 7 years. That is an honest assessment, I don't think many could argue, except for the sake of arguing.

Not sure whether to reply to this odd assessment of how to rate a player. I might just leave it alone.

Find me 20-30 players better than him in the 06 draft. I think many could argue it.

As I said, arguers gotta argue:rolleyes:....I tried to be fair with my assessment.

I'm NOT bagging him, just saying of course we would take the number 1 or 2 pick for him, in a flash!

Not sure we would take pick 1 or 2 "in a flash"

If we did, we'd lose:
- Our best marking player
- 100 games of experience for a KPP
- An integral part of our backline
- Someone that will be a huge asset in the next few seasons

We'd gain:
- An elite kid
- Someone we'd need to get 50 games of experience into
- Someone who won't be a big part of any potential success over the next few seasons

Sometimes you have to say that we have enough kids. That time is now.

Arguers argue when you make ridiculous assertions that aren't backed up by fact. You said that at best he'd be a 2nd to 3rd rounder. So show me the players that - if we re-did a draft; that would make him "In reality a 2nd to 3rd round pick."

I would tell GWS to shove it straight up their ass! Lachie is a very important (top 8-10) players in our side and if he was traded for pick 1 or 2, where would we get a replacement who is an elite mark, has a massive engine, plays the "general" role really well and makes Scott Thompson that much better (Richmond game is a perfect example) where he helped keep Riewoldt goal less for 110 minutes by being third man up or simply cutting Jack's supply

Good on him, absolute favourite player at the club. Great to see his confidence high and he is playing well, despite some loogie hansen moments, wouldn't have it any other way. Here's to a 100 more.

Seems like only yesterday he was a teenager with the most ridiculous hair I've ever seen on a human being - looked like he just got out of bed for the draft photos. And here he is today, a very good defender (who has also been a very good forward) and one of the team's stalwarts. Congratulations on the milestone, Lachie. Lots of us love you to bits.

I went to the 2012 b&f and he was rocking one of the dirtiest rats tales I've ever seen. Looked like he had a possum hanging off the back of his head.

I loved it.

On ya Lachie
