Got a feeling he may be played back, but more so in a position where he can drop in infront of Tippett, rather than spoiling from behind, so that the only place where Tippet can get the ball on the lead is out wide. The bloke aint the best set shot so I reckon we'd be trying to force him to the boundary line by playing Lachie CHB and dropping off his man.
I thought it was common knowledge that all shonky kicks for goal become sharpshooters against us. :)

Our mids need to stand up.
Not even the greatest defender in history would be able to stop the easy delivery we usually concede.

Lachie is on a hiding to nothing what ever happens.

Give him three weeks and then make a call on him.

A promising return by the Messiah. One of the best games he's played as a forward, he didn't look lost out there and he did some good things, yes he could have kicked straighter but overall a very good first game back.

My favourite was the chase in the first quarter, his pressure led to a turnover that resulted in a North goal. Hopefully giantroo will post the footage!

Having Drew, Lachie and Tarrant up forward as targets worked a treat today.

Was listening to Cam Mooney during the week and he mentioned a very important point in regards to forwards - not many forwards are good enough to play forward unless you have a stint in the back line. He mentioned that he started forward and didn't get going until he was put into defence to work on him game and that improved him 10 times over when he went back to the forward line - it happened with Drew and it happens with most forwards today unless you are a bloody freak that doesn't need to. Maybe this has helped Taz and Lachy.

Having the three talls in the forward line will get exposed at times but it's certainly worth keeping with. Having Dish as the main focus, most teams will struggle to then take both Taz and Hansen. It also keeps us very flexible with the Dish and Goldy ruck combo. We can put either behind the ball and still have potency in the forwardline.

Additionally Hansen took Rutten which allowed Tarrant a lesser opponent. Please note Gokangas. Three tallls works when you have alert small like LT Harvey and Patch.

Its time to stick with this set up. Tarrant, Hansen and eventually Black could be a pretty potent forward set up eventually. And I agree in the present, when things go pear shaped down back (or in the ruck) Drew and Lachy are excellent players to put behind the ball.

Hmm he's played some pretty good games up front before, but yes that chase was great. Couldve easily kicked a couple more, didnt really clunk any big grabs we know he's capable of but definitely smashed a few packs hard - which is what ive been waiting for. Play like that crashing a few packs, chasing, the confidence with the marks will come, he's a great contested mark.

BTW the tripple towers thing will work as long as our mids and half forwards are working hard.
This can quickly turn into 2010, 2011 MKII where we kick it long and hope for the big grab.
IMO looking at WC and how they used Kennedy, Lynch and Darling is a great comparison and guide.

John Longmire also played ~30-40 games at full back before he clicked.
