He felt that Craig had already been guaranteed the job. By presenting himself to the committee he would merely be handing over his intellectual property to them (and Craig).

Why so we can blindly follow absolute set of w@nkers that run our footy club. Appoint a novice coach who has done sweet fcuk all and will run this team into the ground. Oh but AFC think he is good. Are we supposed to keep pumping our hard earned cash into the boys club??????

As far as I am concerned AFC can go an **** themselves.

No. What I've said is that I will support Craig if he is appointed.

But mate, we have every right to complain about the men that made the decision and the farce of a process they have pursued. They have chosen to gamble with the future of the footy club by appointing a novice coach (who just happens to be one of the boys) when they could have got an experienced coach.

If Craig does a good job, they will be proven correct. If he fails every one of those responsible for his appointment must resign - and I'll be leading the charge for their blood.

But in the meantime, of course I will back the appointed coach of the club.

Could this be the afc playing with the media again and leaking incorrect info? Or just my wishful thinking (although I do like Neil personally - his wife taught my two sisters and I have coached his youngest daughter)

Both 7 and 9, and later Fox Footy said that Craig was told earlier today and that there currently is a board meeting to ratify the appointment.

Sadly, it will be true. The Adelaide Board has more leaks than the average sieve.

I hope you are right but I think its wishful thinking. The board were in the meeting at the time of the repors and its suggested that Craig was told today that he has the job. Now apparently they are hammering out the contract.

Unlike others here I will keep supporting my club but I will express myself to the board and trigg that I do not believe that the best person was selected and that the process seemed suspect, if craig is appointed and they can not adequatly justify their postion to me.

Just because we don't like a decision does not mean that we should be fair weather supporters like Richmond ones!
