At the end of the day the Lemmon doesn't really like things to tough. Played like a suck against the druggie reserves looking like a sook playing in defence and his opponent gave him a couple of heavies and all our Ben Lemmon did was look at the ump pleading for a free. ******* down hill skiing hack dud delist.

Correct me if this is incorrect (but its not)
Lennon's 12 month timeline.
ok, so by the end of 2015, Lennon was in the 22, and playing good footy.
Come EF, he gets dropped for an unfit Reece Conca.
He gets pee'd off (as you would), and with his contract being up, the scum come in with an offer that he seriously thinks about (as you would - especially since he was a scum supporter growing up)
He thinks, then says, 'no i want to stay and have a crack'
he then gets glandular fever (which i had a a child and it knocks the absolute stuffing out of you), which means he couldnt do a preseason .
he comes back and plays 2 games while under done then gets dropped then does his shoulder.
comes back for 1 game then gets dropped again
in the 3 games he played this year - he averaged 13 possies, 6 marks, 3 tackles and 3 inside 50's. he only kicked one goal, but his stats were better than they were when he was in the team for the final 8 rounds last year.
so yeah, he has not done much, but the last 12 months have been pretty ordinary for him really, and a lot of peolple are pretty quick to savage him.

He gets a full preseason into him, he will play 15 games next year. he is a very clever player, can be a good mid sized forward next year.
You missed the part where Dimma thought it was a stroke of genius to play him as a half back flanker.

Heard today the club actually offered to delist him ( mutual agreement where he gives up his contract)
There is a club thats interested in him but only on a rookie list - He declined and doesnt want to opt out of his contract

This bloke is a piece of work
If you were in his position would you agree to be delisted then rookie listed? I know I wouldn't.

Exactly !!

Too many people here just post about him going off a handfull of senior games and where he was drafted, Highly doubt if any have seen any VFL games he has played. I would rather have Brad Helbig playing than this bloke at least he gave it his all with half the talent

If Ahern goes for pick #69 or what ever i would gave straight swapped him for this clown in a minute

Why would he for a rookie contract, that would be very dumb.

Well he can do the rest of his contract with us and get a) retained, b) traded or c) delisted.

If reports are true, he could have gotten delisted then earnt himself a contract elsewhere. So he has taken the least painful short term option.

Time will tell if that was the best long term decision. Spose we will be back next year with this rubbish...it's becoming an annual event.

Sure but that would be the dumbest way to go about it.
Not really , He said he wants a new start and wants to prove himself

What does he think he will continue to get the $$$ he bent us over for at another club with a contract extension thrown in ?

He clearly wants the cash and wants to go to a new club at the same time , Sorry sunshine it doesnt work that way and you have done SFA so far and dont deserve this.

If he has another year like his past 3 he will be delisted next year and nobody will touch him

So Mr Lennon, looks like all the additional handwork you reported in your amazing insightful article a week ago, is going to be for the benefit of the Richmond footy club.

In all seriousness, there are 2 spots down forward that have your name all over them, put your head down this pre season and take the spot by the balls if you truly believe your "career starts fresh now".

I really loved his draft selection, because i thought - and still do - that he could become the hff we really need

But, 17 clubs not even wanting to trade pick 100 for him? Damn. If rhys palmer being wanted, williams being wanted, and even that spud vardy, but not you isnt a wake up call....

Hope he is head down bum up, kills it in the preseason and makes it impossible for the coaches to ignore him round one

Balls in his hands now

Sure if he doesn't do well he will be out of the system, but it is just dumb to give up and 300-400k contract for a 50k contract. That is pure cluelessness, considering it may be his last big year on year salary. No professional sports player would do that, particularly at his age, and no training in another field to go to.
