Need to look at aarts, Baker and Bolton now. He’s been shit all three games

Ironically was better in the last minutes when thrown on the ball, but even then you wouldn't pick him next week if you were anyone but Dimma.

Looked scared out there today can’t remember him initiating contact or getting at the feet of Lynch in heavy traffic.
You can remember when him ever initiating contact. The most protected footballer at Richmond who can be dangerous but right now isn't.

The thing is you do something about it or it lingers.
Butler was putrid week one and should have been dropped.
Wasn't and was ordinary again. It's become the norm, so his ordinariness v GWS was no surprise.
It's an injustice to keep picking a guy so bereft of form, but I've seen it all so often at Tigerland.

Time for Dan to do the hard yards in the 2s and earn his spot back. He’s playing with no intensity, defensive efforts are lacking he’s not getting his hands on the ball to use his pace and hurt teams with run and carry.
Dimma is an extremely loyal person but you can’t continue to reward players on the back of what happened in 2017

You know things are going badly when you finally run onto a lose ball and the bloody thing bounces on its end and over your head. That is god's way of saying time for a spell in the magoos.

Was his effort or lack of effort after the ball bounced over his head
He cracked the sads and let the gws defender waltz out of our fwd line
2 years ago butler would have gotten the ball back this year he can't or won't, chase and get the ball back,

Get rid of him we need to start rewarding players in the VFL that are preforming.
Maybe we should have kept Stengle????

We have better options, just not giving them a go. Cried out to be dropped after Round1, hurt us keeping him in Rnd2 (not the difference though) and offered nothing in Rnd3 but at least he wasn't bad in Rnd3, was just nothing.

Shazza, you were the only one who picked him as one Richmond's best against GWS, how was that so?

He can play but needs to rediscover his intensity. Should watch Rioli who uses his speed but knows how to win contested ball as well, he’s lost that at the moment, seems to always be on the periphery looking for the cheep option

Rewatching the 2017 game vs WCE and just watched Butler’s goal in the first quarter when he sprinted from the WCE defender and kicked a goal after a well-timed Rioli shepherd, where has that speed gone? One too many ankle injuries? :(

Needs to find some form in the VFL. Its a hard position to play. You don't get much of the football. Bolton, Baker are playing well so its their turn.

Cheapies butler is the perfect description
Good for a goal in the last quarter and does sfa else during the game

Send him to the twos

Bring in guys with hunger like he had when he got a crack in 2017

Baker and Bolton come to mind
