The dealings with Butlers management and the tour of princess park would have been arranged prior to this news coming out

That is a consideration...we would be down two small forwards for 2020...I would be loath to let Butts go just yet his injury takes a long time to come good...but a good draft pick could change everything!

Yes Butler is still young but its been 2 years and he hasn't shown any improvement. He has gone backwards and that's not great when you had others ahead of you anyway.

Yes Carlton were completely honourable, and even if they weren't we should forgive and forget. Hell, we should even supply SOS the vaseline if he wants to do us over again. Don't care about Hogg and what was that club again from prehistory that doesn't exist anymore? Yeah that's right Fitzroy! No we don't owe them any favours and no some crap pick in the sixties for a 23 year old premiership player in a weak draft shouldn't be enough (And for record I thought the Yarran deal was stupid at the time, I was against it, but remember we didn't just screw ourselves, they helped us big time). But now apparently they want something from us, and personally I think there is nothing wrong in remembering the Yarran deal and demanding that prick SOS present us with fair compensation. Frankly I'm surprised you find any of this controversial.

When you think about it Yarran was playing in the 2's, had "problems" and sos was pushing for pick 12 ended up being 19. Butler is worth more than yarran so a 1st round pick
