Been saying for a while that his nickname should be Butcher
I watched Ollie Wines spend a whole game blindly kicking out of packs last night and he is one of the best young mids in the game.

Jack seems to be using his physicality a lot more and it's quite evident that blokes can't tackle him when he doesn't want them too. Just, as always, needs to get more of it.

Tonight he turned it over 74% of the time
We cannot afford for him to get much more

He's a menace now, and I love it! It's about time...

He made me pretty proud to support North tonight, people call him stupid for running in to places he shouldn't, but that kind of courage is what defines him, out and out gun, with the potential to go down as a great if he want to.

Consistently poor last two games
He broke his thumb and was back within two weeks, no doubt because he knows how weak our midfield depth is at the moment and our season in on the line.

He has also laid 11 tackles both weeks and was the only player who go near it early and applied consistent pressure when we were under the pump (Ziebell had 3 possessions at QT, 7 at HT).

Jack is my favourite player. He is undoubtedly more talented that Swalllow, hard as **** and I am loving his season in the whole so far, however to suggest he "should have been made captain already" or that he has played a season close to Swallow's best as yet is wrong and an insult to Swallow.

He is a midfielder. He needs to starting getting it 25 each week and running at more than the 19% kicking that he did tonight before we starting talking about his captaincy as a certainty.

I don't care how great he is at tone setting, carrying his mates on his back etc, he simply needs to use the ball better. He makes Sam Gibson look like Sam Mitchell. If we are to demand that this team delivers consistency in effort, desire, intent and execution then we must equally demand this of all players and no one, no matter how well loved should be excused.

His attack on the ball and man again last night was first class.

His use of the footy(with others) was one of the main reasons we lost tonight.
I imagine him playing a Luke Hodge style game, but kept strictly fwd.

he's a super contested mark and generally with time a beautiful kick. A no brainer for me.

Should be captain now, the sooner the better. Had an off night disposal wise but he puts together more good games than most in our team so he is not to blame for last nights loss. The whole team needs to execute better when kicking for goal.

Jack would be a perfect Half forward. His marking and kicking (when not under the pump) is generally very good.
He would be damaging there. We can let him bulldoze through the midfield from time to time but his strength and presence in the forward line would be brilliant. He is also a natural leader of men and I believe making him skipper would bring out more of his strengths.
I expect this to happen over next pre-season
