Should be captain asap. Disposal efficiency doesn't come into it but its definitely something him and quite a few others needs to work on. The guy leads by example and thats good enough for me. Jacks a beast and I love him.

The bloke's a weapon one out near goal. Very tough to stop. On Cunners, his run of clearances in the last quarter when we needed to maintain the rage and snuff out *'s hopes were crucial. Love Jack and Cunners. They'll make a great Captain/Vice Captain combo one day.

Agree and disagree. Cunners is better in the centre square but his rushed disposals are worse than Jack's because they are usually out of a defensive 50 stoppage and go straight to the opposition who kick a goal
I thought at times Cunnington was bordering on being lazy.......then all of a sudden he exploded in the last qtr.

His time will come.
I don't see the rush.
I think Swallow is a great captain.
There's no reason why Ziebell can't be a leader as Vice for a few more seasons. We won't win more games with him being the bloke that tosses the coin.

This right here is why we have a leadership problem, the guy we want to captain is one of our worst decision makers.
He's tough as nails, works is back side of but geez he's dumb

I was talking more generally, not just about last night. It annoys me how people on here often slam jack for poor disposal / decision making while ignoring the fact Cunners makes similar, if not worse, mistakes

Cunners is #1 in the League for clangers with 60. JZ is #7 with 53. In saying that, the top 10 consists of Dustin Martin, Jack Steven, Fyfe, Armitage, Buddy, Josh Kennedy, Parker and Selwood. Not bad company.

Most of those guys are also in the top 10 for contested possessions. The correlation is clear. Get a lot of ball in close and the heat causes turnovers.

this bloke is one of the biggest pretenders in our side, for such a big contested beats his defensive running is downright embarrassing.

I've been keeping a close eye on him tonight and he trails his opponent at every single contest that we lose.

I love his effort and his ball winning but on the flip side he is a liability. I don't think it is because of fitness either, its purely an effort thing. He chooses when to chase and when to make the effort to get back to defensive 50.

He runs in the wrong areas and has a small tank so by the time he gets there he is slow i think thats the issue, should just play forward part time midfielder :(

He has a tank now. It's purely an effort thing.

Coasts around way too much when the ball is in the oppositions hands.
