Sitting in Bay 34 yesterday, a few of the non-playing players (Jack, Milky, Aaron Black and Ayden Kennedy (I think)) came out and sat down near us for the 2nd half. I watched their reaction to the play and they were clearly rapt when Macmillan, Busta and Cunners got the ball. But the best reaction of all was for Boomers goal from the pocket (we were right behind the line of the ball and it was never going to miss) - Jack sitting there with his crutches next to him, jumped to his feet and pumped his arms in the air. He had clearly forgotten that he has a broken leg, so quickly sat back down, but the natural instinct in him was great to see...

Saw it as well. Would be much better seeing him out on the park though.

JZ was interviewed right in front of us, same spot from where Boomer kicked that goal, geez Boomer was pumped!!!!!

Out of curiosity......... I was the guy from Tassie that was interviewed at half time by the same bloke that interviewed JZ......... "Who is the guy that interviewed us?"

Cant remember a thing I said. I was sh**ing bricks! Think I made a goose out of myself, oh well, only 14,891 people saw it :)

And, just wondering, was that another BF poster that was interviewed at quarter-time?

I don't know what you said, BoomerRoo (I wasn't really paying that much attention) but I'm sure it was something intelligent! You are a North Melbourne supporter after all! :)

Hey BoomerRoo I saw you up on the big screen with your kids. From what I could hear you spoke fine so don't stress. The bloke that interviewed you is Pete Lazer (he is an MC) we usually have him or James "A*MAZING" Sherry running the match day entertainment. You were definately in a great spot to see boomers goal sail through! He gave a good fist pump in your general direction for memory too :thumbsu: Hope you enjoyed the day! I'm sure you don't regret coming over from Tassie to witness the great display from the roo boys :)

I hope he is a BF poster because gee he made me laugh. Pete Lazer asked him something along the lines of "what does north need to do in the second quarter" to which he replied with something like "just kick it to whoever is on McPhee coz he is the biggest dud in the league" GOLD. :thumbsu:

Sounds like the live telecast. Some freo bloke next to the effects mic wasnt too happy with McPhee.

Kept screaming into the mic things like "WATCH YA BACK MCPHEE YOU F***ING P***TER!!"

The commentary team had a great laugh about it and said something along the lines of "the views expressed by disgruntled fans are not those of the broadcast team."

Ahhhhhh, well there ya go. I saw and heard that on the screen BoomerRoo. Pete Lazer, the Bombers supporting twat that he's been exposed as recently, asked you "Any advice for the players?". You answered "Yes, kick the thing!"

Well played anyway mate.

It certainly was GN, and his comment about McPhee was an absolute pisser, given that McPhee could easily have heard it.

That was hilarious. You could hear the guy going absolutely off his nut. Clear as anything.

That was funny.

Re. the OP, I think Jack said during his halftime interview that he may be having the plaster cast removed this week. He was bloody funny talking about how he'd put on a few kg's on the couch during the layoff.

Best part about it was the commentary team always went dead silent to let people hear what a knob he was, then would say something like "Weak supporters like that have no business being at a game of AFL".
Probably the only thing they called right that day.

And yes, i was pissing myself laughing at him :D

Off the crutches and able to put full weight (walking) weight on it this week, which I assume means he will be switching to a moonboot.

Worst part about the injury itself (footy wise) is the one thing Jack is criticised for is the size of his tank, the leg break is gonna set him back a fair ways, lucky that he wont be back this year and can work on his endurance over the offseason.

Love when they interview other players about Jack and they mention stuff like
"They tell jack to get off the field and he just walks it in, we get really pissed off at him and then realise, its cause hes knackered he literally cant run anymore he's run his guts out for the betterment of the team"

or

"He comes off and literally spews at the bench because hes been running so hard".

Bloke just doesnt have the word "quit" in his vocabulary, knows his flaws and pushes beyond them. Kind of bloke you want around the place and Will be a fine captain of the club in a number of years :thumbsu:

Both interviews were good.

The McPhee comment was said with such conviction and seriousness, that I think Pete was taken aback as he ended the interview :D

I had to put up with a Freo goose behind me continually blurting out "give Rawlings another stat, where is he, give it to him" and comments to that effect. If only he had shared his possessions with 'Hill'.

Yes, I let him know...

Any word on whether he will play with a permanent leg/shin guard?

Not that ive heard. He didnt like wearing the first one though, said it was uncomfortable, didnt hamper him at all just didnt like it.

So I assume he wont wear a permanent one, although I think we'd all prefer he did.

Did he say anything about his mastery of XBox, TT?

A supporter near us screams "kick it!" nearly every time one of our players gets the ball in his hands when an opponent is within 20 metres.

About 25 calls per qtr.

I can categorically state this is not me as I always yell out "Handball it". A lot of supporters get frustrated with me, especially the ones that yell out "kick it" at the same time. One of that group asked me to stop yelling out handball as it sends a mixed message to the players. I said he was a ****ing idiot. We ended up agreeing to disagree.

True story.

No, but he had plenty to say about RB's gourmet cooking skills, and the lack of decent service from The Chief. He'll be reviewing The Couch as a restaurant and relaxation destination fairly soon and if I were RB I'd give Donald a severe dressing down for letting the team down.
