Congrats on a great 200 "Jacky Boy"!

One of my genuine favorites. There's not too many things better to watch in footy than JZ in full bulldozer mode.

Looking forward to many more inspirational physical team lifting acts.

The premiership dais is calling your name.

Selwood career in a nutshell, goes hard but begs for free kicks like he's been shot anytime he doesn't win the ball.

A good coach would ensure that it was 1v1 ahead of the ball knowing he has players that have this as their MO.

Maximise strengths, minimise weaknesses. We were utterly adverse to that type of approach under Scott.

We play to the gamestyle that can beat every team in the comp! What?? We don't have the type of players to pull it off?! Well MAKE the players the type of players to pull it off! It was an insane approach. You have to make the best of what you've got. Trying to turn Brown into a wrestling forward and Polec into a boundary rider was so ******* dumb.

Rushed hack kicks (or the 'old chaos ball' as they all too often call it) are fine, maybe even good, under certain circumstances and matchups. 1v1 forward of the ball 5 seconds after the bounce, with a mix of elite marks and angry little fellas is one of those situations where it's a completely fine strategy.

As for Jack, all the best to him this week, 200 is one hell of a milestone for someone with his play style and injury history!

Looks a fraction quicker this year.

Maybe it's just on his recent game but he seems to be covering ground better.

I get the idea of being polished in the media and being humble - and JZ is a great speaker. But part of me thinks if we spoke more aggressively and committed ourselves to humiliation if we don't show that aggression and intensity on the field (think combat sports), that we'd be much better for it.

Loved that.

See this right here:

That's what I want from him from the first bounce every week. Physically intimidate the opposition early.

No more curbing his natural instincts (most likely under the former coaches instructions).

I don't care if he gets rubbed out now & then, just play on your natural instincts Jack.

Yep, this guy has the opportunity to lead the new North era. Our ethos, our stamp that this team can have on the competition is hardness, and there isn't a player harder than Jack (although Jed gives him a run for his money) out there.

This needs to be his stamp on the club. Not polished media performances, not talk of respecting the opposition. Inflicting pain and hardness at the footy.

We will win a flag soon if we go down this path.

How good does he look when he hits the ball at pace.
Powerful.

Then he wheels and goes and when he strikes it beautifully that footy travels.
He’s a heavy metal footballer and that’s why we love him.

Past few weeks have been big for Jack as captain, and he's really stood up to take on the challenge and he's dragged us into form with his efforts. Which is all you need, had he failed to do so I would've questioned his position but he is the man to take us forward even in the Post-Scott era.

Good game today, glad we could get up for his 200th.
