Not sure what the deal is the last few weeks but have noticed he isn't in as many centre bounces as he was early in the year, we looked better in the clearances when he was in there today but for some reason we had Cooney and Crowley in there a lot. Adds a lot of speed and spark to the centre bounces and we look very slow when he isn't in there.

Cooney n Crowley have 10+ yrs in midfield, seem sulky or untrainable as fwds which leads this kid to play fwd. in a top 4 midfield this kid is prob better suited as a fwd. unsure on his future, midfield or fwd? Hes a better fwd than laverde, parish, Heppell, zaka

Definite midfielder, just learning before he should have to, to deal with a hard tag.

Will explode next season when he's 3rd rung

He's a small third year player.

Good as he has been he will need to be managedto get through the year.

We actually look best in the middle when Cooney is in the middle. He can still win a clearance without space.

He's learning his craft. Remember he was only thrusted into the midfield after all those injuries last season. The way he's took to it has been amazing, reminds me off hepp.
Yeah Heppell looked good from the get go just like this kid, although I would argue Zerrett being arguably more influential in games than Hepp (prior to this year obviously).

Heppell had more influence off half back in his first season was lovely. Became a Cotchin, racked up touches that someone else could have done. Merrett has more benefits to the team up fwd, sure he can start at stoppages but then switch with a fwd n create confusion to opposition. Merrett off one step kicked that goal against pies, not many players can do that, he needs to be lurking forward of centre all the time

Nope, his delivery into the 50 is only matched by Goddard in our team.
That kick to stokes yesterday was outrageous..
In a team with inept delivery into our forwards, he needs to be doing more kicking from the midfield..

Agree with the bolded comments above, that's why we all love him. He can not only kick goals, but he sets them up for us too (in a team where not only does it rarely happen, but has rarely happened for us for some time).

God damnit Dank, you had your chemistry all wrong! We want to clone players, CLONE PLAYERS!
