Thought he was a little snake bitten with his kicking earlier on.

Agree with Yaco to an extent. Only Ambrose had less score involvements than Merrett.
Not sure the score involvements stat is really relevant in a game where you lose by 79 points and the team couldn't get the ball out of defensive 50 most of the game.

No impact from his possessions tonight - Number of possessions flattered his game tonight.
Simply because we had no one working hard enough forward of the ball. It is not like he continually missed blokes who where open and free. Just about everyone who got the ball in the back half had no impact going forward because we had no bloody running or marking targets in front of them. One of our real problems going forward next year will be big marking targets forward of the ball. We will need a few of the big blokes to start clunking a few marks.

Can't believe people are criticising Zach's game last night.

Won a ton of ball on the inside and did the hard stuff in tight, hardly his fault the ball was butchered on the outside all night.

Tracking beautifully to have the perfect balance between inside/outside.

We should be rejoicing that we've got a 20 year old leading our midfield group.

Ideally you want forwards to get separation from their defenders by making space - Over-reliance on big guys clunking marks usually means you are playing down the line.

His disposal has been poor at times which is the only knock I have on him. He's accumulating consistently now, can't wait for his progression with more of the midfield brigade back.

Accumulates and is awesome with defensive pressure too. Loves a tackle.

foot skills drop off when you are not confident. Zerrett was one of our best kicks when he first started. it will come good again.

Have a look at Carlton last year compared to this. Someone like Walker was shanking so many kicks in 15.
