To get a positive against all the negativity, Bailey’s main weaknesses is size and strength. So been off his feet he can eat some iron in the gym and come back next year with a few months extra in the gym.

Fractured feet are a far bigger worry for older players. I expect he’ll be right to go for a big preseason, even if we nurse him through to Christmas. I also expect he and Wrighty will do a ripping rendition of “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies” with their newfound ballet skills at the end of year review.

Thanks FG, hopefully a streamlined return. We haven’t had much luck with our injured young guys in recent years.

Scott, who has played four games this season, had surgery in June to fix the problem.

“It’s still touch and go as to whether he’ll play again this season,” Joyce said.

“He needs to see the surgeon and have an x-ray, and depending on those results he could potentially start running again.”

Agreed, his ability to keep his feet in those one on one contests you get out wide will be crucial here, he'll generate scoring opportunity turnovers.

He's the kind of bloke who has the mental discipline for such a role too.
