Wellsy should choose Geelong. Hes only got one maybe 2 years at most in his tank. They are closer to a flag then Collingwood.
While it's sad it will be interesting how he plays in a team with elite midfield

The kids are upset about the likely move by Wellsy. My daughter said she is going to go for the Bulldogs. I told her to find a new place to live.
Did she seem more brave when she said she was going for Western?

I put it on a par with Schwatta.

I even have a pic of me and him holding the 96 Cup.

Imagine the horror of him going at that time....

20 years later it's my favorite North memorabilia.

Difference is Wellsy got donuts at North and didn't get the honour of being in my photo.
If there is a God- please, please net us another Shagga from the comp pick

I like Wellsy. I've always barracked for Wellsy. I wish Daniel every joy in his professional and private life.

But support for the North Melbourne Football Club is not confined to the time-limited career of Daniel Wells. Our club, with whatever hopes we cherish for it to become an indestructible dynamo competitively and commercially, will depend on the rising and perhaps as yet undrafted generation of players.

Wellsy sweetheart, if this is the end: Adieu, you came to us when North made an involuntary tumble down the mountain. You stayed with us as we grindingly tried to make it back up. But it wasn't to be sweetheart. I'll always remember you.

Would love the great man back! A genuine superstar, with a forearm smash pack and a booming barrel
<<= Agree! Up there as my saddest moment when Schwatta left, but like Gasometer, my pic holding up the 96 Cup with Schwatta remains my favourite piece of club memorabilia. In a way, I'd like to think the signed miniature footy Wellsy handed over the fence after a Collingwood win a few years ago, will remain my son's favourite memento long after Wellsy is gone.

Mixed feelings. Has been my favourite player but can also be frustrating when playing (missing goals regularly )
Has been injured a lot while on good coin and now that he is OK jumps ship.
Never wish him bad but really think he should do what's best for north.
Want some compensation ie draft pick from club going too
Hey mate, I wished to death we had a fully capable wells in 2015, yet we made a prelim.. In 2016 we had a bloody awesome wells for 6 games then he and us went to shit! We dont need to be relying on these fellas, we have the cattle! We dont need wellsy any more! We have a doggies type team without boomer, del, dish and wells! The only one we'll miss is the grunt in the backline! **** wellsy! Pompous cock! I wish him all the best at the pies and I hope he does his ****in knee!

I bleed blue n white! This skinny outsider said he wanted to be a one club player! **** him if he doesnt! North are better than that! JB, Benny buckley or BS needs to come out and say we delist this ****** before he taints our club! **** it, play a straight bat! Hit him for 6.. NOT WELCOME! Get out of our club!

Edit: Harsh but **** its fair!

Wellsy has been our cat with nine lives. He was lucky to survive the blood clot 5 years ago, but came back. Then Dish stood on his foot and a lisfranc injury nearly ended his career. Then his achilles has us thinking that it was all over for Wellsy. Now he is facing another frightening prospect....playing for the toothless ferals. Hang in there, Wellsy. Time for another comeback against the odds.

Dont forget, he was meant to be a blue, the fella was confused all his life!

Good to see you care about a player that did bugger all! He should have won a bloody brownlow! Albeit his lung issues may have held his performance back a touch, however, this bloke sat on our list and did absolutely **** all! And NORTH SAVED THIS MUPPETS LIFE! You think if it wasnt for elite north medicos he would still be alive? This is the thanks he gives us? Well, touche Wellsy!

I hope Jed hits you harder than youve ever been hit before! And Jed will get tougher and harder at the contest than you ever have been!

I dont want Wellsy at north! I want him gone! Bye bye!

Harsh word in here about one of our much loved super star legends of the club. Sometimes relationships don't last forever. A sad fact of life. If Daniel leaves us I'll be so honoured and blessed to have had the many years of joy and exhilaration he's given us. It is possible that he may remain so I'm not sure that we should all be getting so worked up over something we know nothing about and have no control over.

In saying that I can understand why he might want to move on. Our club has just had its heart and soul ripped out by the football department. Most of his best mates have just been shafted, the loss of Dish and Boomer will have most likely cut him deeply and killed his joy in wanting to walk into Arden St. each day. The club has shown its colours in the way it has treated its legends, its over 30 year olds especially. I dare say it must feel like a lonely place for him right now, other than perhaps having Lindsay there. Wellsy's always appeared a shy type. Perhaps not the mentor type to bond and engage with the new crop coming through, so in a way with his great mate Boomer now gone the love might have suddenly been sucked out of him and the prospect of a potential premiership, greater security and more coin for his young family perhaps has become a prospect more enticing. As I said I bear him no will if he makes this decision and extend my warmest gratitude for everything he has given us. I will say though, it will hurt painfully to see him running around with another club.

In my opinion however the club has erred in sacking Boomer. Consequences will be deep and long lasting and perhaps we're about to witness our first casualty.

Heart and soul ripped out? You alright mate? The heart and soul is the blue and white! He was apart of the blue and white! Ridiculous comment! The heart and soul of north is more than a bunch of aging list cloggers!

If you don't understand what Boomer, Drew and Firrito meant to all North Melbourne fans and the history of our club then you ain't no North Melbourne fan. Almost 1,400 games of experience gone and a coach who has done his best to kill the Shinboner spirit.
