Hell of a game from Wellsy. Really stood up tonight. Hope he keeps it up for the remaining 4 rounds (possibly finals ;)) and then has a big pre-season and comes out firing next year.

The bloke's made for finals and can't help but think that him being drafted to us robbed him of a genuine archetypical, aboriginal career, though we probably saved him from Carlton. He loves the club and we owe him a genuine finals campaign, no doubt.

Hopefully has a full preseason with no injury scares! Was real good with his 18 disposals, have hunt a bath.

Yeah, top kick, waited for the option to present itself, and just put it in space.

As Kcrack called it, he slotted his chances, which is really pleasing because he breaks and spreads so hard offensively that when he hits the scoreboard like that, it really hurts the opposition.

It's early in the season but there have been occasions already so far this year when its looked like Wells hasn't been out of 2nd or 3rd gear with some of his efforts offensively and especially defensively, but last week aginest Sydney at the SCG in the slogging wet his leadership and determination for the contest was Wells at his best. He was his silky best with ball in hand but I was arguably more impressed with his furious tackling as well as his to go the extra mile with the one percenters.

This is Wells well and truly busting a gut in first gear, this is the Wells I want to see for the rest of the season, not that this is anything new because that's far from the truth given his previous individual accolades, but as a leader to really beat even more of the best sides, this is what he has to do week in week out.

It must be noted to people who may be unaware Daniels grandmother passed away during the week prior to the Swans game.

Having said that I completely agree with the above that his application will either brake tags or allow him to have an influence on the game

Against Sydney there was a boundary throw in where a Swans player got clean possession of the ball only for Wellsy in the blink of an eye to emerge from the opposite side with the ball in hand. I don't know how he did it. He is a football ninja.
