That highlights reel is about as good as you'd want from a young inside mid. Makes him look like a superstar. No pressure or anything.

Except faster. Bolton was never blessed with a quick burst of speed.

Cant learn much from highlights but the type of player he seems to be from reports is one that I hoped we would target after Blakey. Good luck to him.

They are highlights. His poor kicks are not highlighted. You can watch some whole games on youtube.

It’s the first day, after that we’ll be more interested in how the kid trains and plays, like all our other shiny new draft toys.

Robo!!!! Didn’t think he’d be taken in the second and few others did as well. This tells me the club rated him very highly to use that pick on him above more fancied types like Valente etc. But that’s reassuring more than anything, because it means the club went into this draft knowing what they wanted and they got it.

Well done to the kid and hope he can carve out a career at our club!

Looks like the type of player that could play a reasonable chunk of games in 2019 as well.

Got a good mix of highlights in there - fend off, accurate handballs, good tackling and quick decision making. An optimistic start!

What has impressed me is how clean he is with his hands.

I know it's only highlights, but he really does look impressive and perhaps even an immediate inclusion in our side. Would be hard to see anything other than a 200+ gamer.

Liking what I'm seeing so far. His kicking technique looks a bit awkward from the highlights, but very clean with his hands in close and has a bit speed along with evasive ability in traffic. More contested ball-winners are a major need for us at present, expect he'll get a debut in at some point next year.

Hehe. I didn't think I was all that over the top. Fills a role we really need soldiers in. Won't be thrown to the wolves straight away in that role, but can see him given opportunities in the side fairly early at least. Who knows?

Picked him at 39 for you guys earlier in the Bigfooty Phantom Draft ;)

I think he is a great pick for you guys and criminally underrated on bigfooty
