The Oakleigh Chargers product made his AFL debut against Richmond at Marvel Stadium in Round 5, 2019 and finished the season with 12 senior games beside his name. Rowbottom also led the NEAFL MVP voting when it was hidden from the public after Round 12. The young Swan is a ball magnet, explosive at the stoppages, an outstanding tackler and a clean user of the footy.

Outstanding game from Rowy last night - among our best! Had most clearances of anyone on the ground. Also had the second most tackles of anyone on the ground and by far the most pressure acts of anyone on the ground. The bulk of his possessions were contested (true for only a handful of players on the field last night) and despite winning the ball under pressure used it really well (70% disposal efficiency). Icing on the cake dobbed a nice goal too (as he did in at least one of the praccy matches).

Maybe he's going to go to another level this year, or I'll be thrilled even if he just returns to his best (as in late 2024).

Exceptional person and a great and special player to watch when he's up and about. Sacrificed for this club in ways that will probably never see the light of day. Massively important in getting us to two grand finals. In an elite club of only fifteen Swans players this century to achieve multiple podium finishes in the B&F. And probably the single best tackler I've ever seen.

Mildly interesting fact - In three games Rowy will overtake Rozee and join his best mate Blakey as the two players from the 2018 national draft with the most games played.
