I'll take that over any alternative knee injury like an ACL. Could've been worse. Although MCL's can be bad too and Serpell will spin it so we don't know how bad it is.

As long as he's fit and firing for preseason.

Look on the bright side. He gets to have a rest now after a tough first year.

I'm actually happy, simply because it's not an acl.
sucks to say positive... but it is
a ACL would have been beyond deflating.
Judson Clarke was enough to send one into a spin of sadness.
Rest up and tear up a huge pre season in 26' kid - his efforts in his first season wont be forgotten

Gutted for him, but what a debut season, and now gets to rest to prepare for his first full preseason.

Also shows just how good he is, and shows how much of a key figure in our forward transition he has become already given how we performed when he went down.

Kid is gonna be a beast next season.

Fatigued ligaments and muscles

No. You’re not his doctor or physio, you have zero insight to anything of that nature, you’re speculating and spewing bullshit.

The only conclusive thing anyone in here knows is that 95kg afl player landed directly on his knee and a minute later he was subbed out of the game.

It was an impact injury ya psycho.
You are very wrong like everyone else here.

AI Overview
Medial collateral ligaments (MCLs) are commonly damaged through a combination of factors, including direct impact to the knee, repetitive stress, and fatigue, leading to tears, sprains, or strains. Fatigue damage in MCLs occurs through repeated loading and unloading, causing micro-damage that accumulates over time, eventually leading to failure.

You're the ignorant one. Don't talk about something you know nothing about.

"Direct impact to the knee"

Like a bloke falling on it? Or different kind of direct impact?

Didn’t really know what to expect from him post draft except he loves the contest

Fantastic year for a first year key position tall

Showed plenty of signs especially in his marking ability
Plenty to work on over the off season but injury aside couldn’t be happier

'commonly damaged through a combination of factors'
Do you understand now?
One being direct impact. Does that include what happened to him yesterday?

Genuine question as I haven't become an expert via AI yet.
