What is it with posters today not reading what is said. I said to persist with the kids, that means that even when Vlastuin & Jackson come back I'd like to see the likes of Dea & McDonough stay in. When Newman & Foley are right to go, they don't just walk back into the side because they are senior players, instead they are forced to earn their way back through the reserves.

Do players stay in that are out of form if they are young???

????? foley walk back into the side? what are you talking about? firstly he had to fight himself back into the side and has now played in the last 2 games.

Here;s a thought why not just continue to reward players that are performing ?

It's not so much about finals now for us, we need to get the spirit and effort consistent, learn from the mistakes we made this year and ready ourselves for a massive pre season.

True mate, but it's a very long and for the most part lonely and shattering road to hope and go down.

It looks like we're a lot closer to playing last seasons game plan than most on here give credit.

A telling stat on Talking Footy last night showed:

RICHMOND BALL MOVEMENT

ROUND 6-10 (2014).... 4TH


IF we maintain this intensity for the rest of the season, and keep in mind big 'Ivarn' is back on the park, the mathematical possibility is swinging in our favour.

To me we have this 4 week block where we need to win at least 3 out of 4 games to have any chance for finals. So i could not give a shit if your 8 years of age or 88 years. If your the better player your in. We need to have a mindset that this is an opportunity to retake whats ours and that's a spot in the 8. If by round 15 we are still on a 6-9 win loss ratio, then i would then coach and manage the team for the future...till then go all out imo

One thing to remember, our percentage is fine and that might be a factor this year due to teams being so close. There's the odd chance we might not have to win 13 or so games, just get more percentage than the other teams.

At this point in time it's looking like a top 10 draft pick. The irony is that if we don't get a top 10 pick we should in turn be happy that we managed to turn our season around!

"If" is not just hindsight, in fact on this page alone a number of posters have used it whilst looking to the future.
Anyway still not sure what your point is. We all look back with hindsight sometimes, in fact most threads here have some level of it.
