I don't know how he looked live but i'd cut him some slack because at times he was basically having to do the midfield work

Warner is a cheery on top player.
We are paying him franchise team carrying cash.
Absolutely the most overpaid person in AFL at the moment. He is not worth the cash in a side that needs grunt desperately. And to make it worse we reward his brother with a start whose ceiling is zero becasue we want to please "The Chad".
It is only 2 years, and he will have a highlight reel for sure over that time, but he will not, never, be able to pick a team up off his back and carry them.
That's what I judge him on because that's what we pay him and it ain't worth it nor have I seen it in the past.
Worth a lot, but not what we went through and settled on.
If the team is flying, if Errol is up and Heeney dominant and Grundy smashing and etc etc etc then Chad is free and flowing.....but it always relies on others to do it.
Still, I guess, there are more pressing issues overall and if we look at it in toto how the **** do we fill our salary cap at the moment? Not a whole lot are playing first grade footy so why are we paying them first grade cash.
The Bombers beat us....lol. Actually they flooged us. Flogged us. Reduced us to rabble. I am still working that out to be honest.

The group has peaked it happens to every team + bad luck with injuries and a new coach.
Just needs a refresh with the right players and we will be back playing finals.
This season had trainwreck written all over it and so far its delivered.

Not a shit take, Just a frustrated supporter and a bad loser and when Warner signed he felt this team was heading in the right direction, so I would even question where we are as a team, injuries are having an effect but nothing resembles what we produced last year, we are a shadow of the team we were last year.

Maxfield wasn't as good a player as Chad but he was more consistent. He was a true bloods footballer.

Haha I hear you! The problem is it seems we are relying on either heeney or Warner to star each week. Opposition coaches know this and put so much attention into both.
