Yes, yes - I know …. DQ on the Gus bandwagon again.

But Hanily had 3 disposals before being dragged & just didn’t impact one iota.

Gus, despite his kicking woes, will add hardness, tackle and get the ball.

He’s not a forward long-term, but played there when Horse first introduced him to the team & in my view, is worth a try.

Because our current forward line is the most ineffective in the AFL.

Yep and as Bice has a lethal left foot and looks a dogged type if he we are calling a spade a spade he is another lightweight. He certainly does not have the body of a hard in the contest like Malceski. We are small and as Ted said today, nice.

The state of the ground in no way cost us the game but it turned it into a terrible spectacle - at least on TV. SCG trust need to be questioned by AFL and possibly fined if they can. No way that surface was up to standard.

I honestly believe the totally disjointed reserves fixture has really hurt us. Melb sides got plenty of other teams to play in the bye - we don't. Too many bloody byes already. McDonald is nowhere near match fit - not his fault just no quality game time. Whoever does the VFL fixture has ****ed it up 2 years in a row - not just for us either.

I think Buller more likely to come in than Logan - he is match fit at least. Kicked 3 - may as well give him a go and see if he can raise his level.

I think you are putting too much on what was expected of Logan. The delivery was atrocious. If you want him to mark in a pack of 4 or 5 then it ain't going to happen most times. If you put the ball to the backs advantage then it isn't going to happen at all. The Reserves were nersrly as bad as the Seniors, except they won by 2 points

The Reserves were pretty decent in the first half - second half less so. But he showed significantly less than others playing on the day (Ladhams, Buller) - if you are picking on form, you aren't picking McDonald.

If he put up the same numbers across the game he'd have 30 and 4 with 15 contested, AND you want him to do the same defensive work as blokes not carrying anywhere near the same load. So if he's not prime GAJ he's not good enough.

Listen sport. He was poor in the 2nd & 3rd. He was good in the 1st & 4th but to give him the votes? Not sure about that. I like consistency. He doesn't chase enough. Just stops. In the second and third, when he was getting touched up he sooked and didn't chase. I think he is a very good player but to be great you really have to put the team before self and I don't think Isaac does that enough.
