I'd just like to congratulate all Cats and Pies fans on a terrific crowd, our highest for many years if my memory serves me correctly.

Great for the club as it was our home game!

The Dogs are about to win vs Essendon so next week should be a big crowd also, hopefully over 45,000 (and it is our home game too.

Btw- looks as though the strike by the vline people didn't really affect the crowd too much.

Not necessarily, it was sort of a 'general admission' area for Telstra Dome seat holders, there might have been more allocated than needed.

From where I was sitting at the ground yesterday, I would say we had the most supporters.

I arrived at the 'G early, used a M'ship ticket for entry and threw an old jumper on my choice of seat.
I then left the ground for an hour or so and exhibited the brains of an albatross by forgetting to grab a passout.
Anyhow, I had a spare M'ship ticket in my car (the missus was crook) and used that one to get back into the ground.
Hence the crowd figure of 85,497 is utter crap.
There was only 85,496 in attendance (at the most) !

I thought Collingwood had more support, personally. Certainly seemed nosier (except when Didak got the ball).

Pretty sure they mean 600k total.

you are mistaken...it is the limited capacity at skilled which makes it profitable....

Doesn't mean a 36k capacity ground will severely affect the number of reserved seats sold (compared to now), the number of G.A should be increased slightly so that would equate to around 4-5,000 G.A seats/standing room.

- corporates and 'others' and there isn't a massive increase in reserved seating, we will just have to wait and see.

great effort to both pie and cats fans exspecially the cats fans who had to suffer some problems on the v-line trains.cats may have had a few more fans in some areas of the ground but the whole ponsford stand is 100% collingwood as thats were the social club and members sit.still a good game of footy and a great atmosphere if the pies dont win the gf i hope u guys do. all the best

There's no reason why we shouldn't fill it. Dogs are travelling well, it's Geelongs home game so all our members should show. Add to that recent history shows Geelong and Bulldogs have real close games. Friday night + under the roof at TD = massive crowd.

Correct - this is the PROFIT figure, not the revenue. Purely bottom line they were talking.
