I actually liked that Chad didn’t dominate and we still did well. We can’t complain that we rely on our stars too much, and then also complain when our stars don’t shine so bright.

Drew is a good tagger and sat hard on Chad.

Where does that leave us. I think in the second category. If we got a run on we can win enough to just qualify.

To my eyes we seemed to have a lot more loose players around & ahead of the ball to use by hand, rather than looking up, being swarmed and outnumbered by opposition and having to just bomb it long. Whether that was because Port's pressure was that bad or our work rate to present as an option was better than usual, or a combination of both, I don't know.

Reckon you're right. I suggested it looked like we would run more and we did. The handball was an important part of that. Caught Port out a few times. Vs Richmond 254 kick to 135 HB (34.7%). Vs Port 211 to 133 (38.7%).

I got us to 5th or 6th but we need to be knocking off the dogs, dockers. lions away, gws away, Geelong etc

So reality is we probably can just shape the 8, I’d rather us push for the noble high finish than fall down the ladder though
