Player Watch #9: Charlie Spargo

The utimate "eye test" player. His stats are all average but when you watch him play you can clearly see the impact he has on crucial moments.

Tom McDonald most improved in 2021. Spargo and Nib clear 2nd. Spargo hitting new heights for the first time as opposed to TMac and Nib recovering form. Does the little things very well.

Don’t disagree, but the difference is TMac has played at a similar level before. Spargo and ANB truly taken their game to a whole new level for them.

MFCs player development has been awful in the past so great to see guys getting the best out of themselves.

He’s actually taken some really good contested marks from D50 exit kicks last few weeks. Not sure who they were against, but they should probably get dropped.

I maintain that if he was 10-15cm taller he’d be one of the best players in it.
