"Aggressive off load",,,,in layman's terms is that rest?

In normal person speak, yes.

It appears a deviation from the standard practice of locomotion-based training.

I had OP when I was 14.
It sucks.
You don’t know why you can’t run.
You aren’t in any pain and you feel okay.
But it’s basically Trying to run without any hamstrings.
Your legs just won’t go.

He’ll have the year off and will be raring to go in 2021.
Just amazed the jump up in work rate is what’s caused this after two years at AFL level.

Surely he's not missing the entire year, right?

How sure are we about the severity of this, plus the fact that it is OP. Seems like we're estimating timelines atm when the club hasn't given one themselves yet.
He's missing most of it at least by the sounds of it. It would be beyond idiotic by the club to rush his return in any way due to his age and the way that we all hope he will be playing in the long term (exploding away from packs). Also the wording by the club suggests no risks will be taken.

Geez this is disappointing. Was really looking forward to watching him play.

But bloody hell these OP injuries really died off years ago add now all of a sudden this just appears out of the blue.
